Going to Work

A day in Mongolia sometimes starts with a run. If you stand on the hill to the west of town next to the stuppa, you can see the whole town spread out around you. Rows of houses and yurt/ger/tents curl around the hill and spread out to the north. Two- and three-story buildings line the road running north through town. My walk to work in the morning

Sounds very exotic! ..says the guy who has only ever stepped beyond the borders one time, and that was Tijuana.

And yet, which would people think of first if asked to name exotic places? Tijuana or Mongolia? Isn't that M-place in Africa?

Do you think those transhumans and their Russian friends would ever visit Mongolia? It'd be like a piece of home, reminding of my old definition of quirky.

I don't know enough about Mongolia to write anything there! Of course, that sort of thing never seems to stop me...
