I feel that if you're an English major, especially if you plan on being a teacher, and your favorite book "of all time" is The DaVinci Code, you should have an automatic FAIL on your certification.
And then be kicked repeatedly in the shins.

Yesterday I sat outside to do my reading, and I got sunburned (only on my right arm, of course - how awesome); tomorrow it's supposed to snow.

I have a take-home midterm to do, an actual midterm to take next week in a class that hasn't met in the past two weeks (O_O) and a literature review (on a topic I'm not too thrilled about) to do all in the next week, in addition to grading 24 4-6 page papers written by 19-year-olds and sitting through EDTE 526, AKA the most useless class ever on ( Read more... ) -

So today I stayed in Baker Center all day long because I had to work until 2:00 and then I had to attend Cashier Training at 5:00 (it was useless because, um, hello, I know how to do my job kthnx) and then we had a "safety meeting" at 8:00, which was a lot of "we use Windex to clean glass" and "please don't wear Crocs to work" and stuff like that ( Read more... ) -
P.S. - the bird's a metaphor
So like half an hour ago I was running walking quickly to turn in stuff for my curriculum class (due at 5pm, dropped in the mailbox at 4:59, WIN!) and there was a falcon (or a hawk? idk.) sitting in a pine tree literally two feet from me as I ran walked by.
