I think Lois was my favourite part of the episode. Her and Corben, actually. Her keeping secrets from Clark still bugs me, though. Argh, I hate that the people of this show never communicate with each other!
Everything else grated for me. And I think you pointed out exactly why. Everything is leading to a colossal failure for Clark, and after last year's finale, I don't trust the writers to give him a satisfactory win. I'm just sick and tired of it now.
Lois keeping this secret from Clark is ::so:: going to end up badly, I can tell.

This is really it, isn't it? I'm just so, so sick of it by now.
n the final Chlark scene, not only does Clark yet again apologize to Chloe, but he all out admits her plan was right and lets her completely skate by for her witholding the information from him in the first place.
THIS! Especially since producer whoever gave all those interviews saying that Chloe would be called out for what she's been doing in this ep. I thought, "Great!" but it's not calling her out if Red!K Clark does it and then regular Clark follows up with an apology and says she was right to stockpile all those Green!K weapons. All because they saved the day in the future. THEY ALSO KILLED YOU CLARK! REMEMBER THE STABBING BY ZOD?!

I haven't been reading any spoilers / interviews, but wow, he said that, eh? BP, I'm assuming? Trust him to spout some BS line like that. I never expect these showrunners to respect Clark, let alone actually hold another character, that too Chloe, responsible for their own shit. Pigs will fly when that hapens - literally.

I liked that Clark was worried about Lois' safety but him going so far as to actually ask Chloe to lojack her, seemed so utterly contrived. Would have been much better for Clark to find the lab while pursuing his own investigation of Tess.
This is so clearly a case of the writers coming at things from every other characters POV than Clark', that I'm surprised at myself for even letting it get to me anymore. They can't possibly have Chloe admit, or be told that she was wrong, so they have Clark stoop to her level, so as to put them both on the same footing. It's Lana-writing all over again - remember in S7 how Clark equates Lana's actions (kidnapping Lionel, causing the death of one of Brainiac's victims) to his own long ago RedK burglaries? You'd think the writers would have learned from fan reaction to Lana that characters are more likeable when they mess up and then apologize, unreservedly.

Exactly, but no, evidently the writers are just.that.stupid.
Oh for goodness sake. So not only does Clark let Chloe stake on everything she's done but he also admits that she's right about the weapon stash. SHE'S NOT BATMAN!!!!! Stop treating her like she is, writer and actually have the balls to say that what she's doing is wrong.
After my inital reaction, I don't think Clark WAS letting Chloe off that easily. He reminded her that she had in effect been stockpliling weapons that could kill him, and I saw his apology refering only to his actions on Red!K

I agree with you that if it is in fact true that some of the Kandorians are indeed coming round to Clark' way of thinking then it does go some way in validating Clark' convictions. Unfortunately I just don't think Chloe was called out because ultimately even if Clark did point this stuff out to her, it culminated with a "but you know best so what do I know" type deal anyways.
We know Chloe is in the wrong. Sadly I just don't think the show agrees.

So annoying, so frustrating, so infuriating... When I think the writing can't get any worse, it does. My poor, poor Superman! (Message to Tom: please, leave SV so I can stop watching)
There's this awful, 2nd half of season curse whe it comes to the writing for Clark - thats been around ever since S5, come to think of it. You'd think we'd have stopped punishing ourselves by now, heh. But you're absolutely right, if it wasn't for TW, it'd be much, much easier to give up.
