//It's just a shame they seem to forget this for half of the season. Afterall this is Clark's journey and while it is sometimes nice to see the POV from the supporting cast, it should alway's be in the writers/dirctor's/actors minds that they're the mirror through which we view our hero and, not the other way around.//
So beautifully stated, especially the last sentence. I've always called SV the land of missed opportunities, sadly. But I suppose that makes an ep like this even more gratifying and rewarding because it reminds you why you're a fan to begin with, and that you're proud to be a fan.
Now, that is how you do a muthereffin finale! Quoted for truth!
Clark was Supes in this ep. And was TW on his A-game, or what?! He sure was!
Clark' ultimate victory though, of course was exposing Zod' reality to the Kandorians and having them willingly accept their next plane of being. Clark written as smart and inspirational? Priceless.
All in all, for a one season villain, for me, Zod was always more palatable than last seasons Davis, and this finale just further proved why. What else I liked about Zod? Even though he was alien he totally schooled Davis in the literary allusions. He may not have been Lex but he brought back the intelligent villain with a vengeance.
Clois was written almost exactly as how I would have liked in this ep, and I cannot tell you how relieved I am that the writers chose this path, rather than the one I was dreading. Oh, no kidding. And while they veered into the secrets and lies territory a bit much for my liking it's such a relief to have Lois finally in on the secret and be past all that.

Yes, exactly!
//OTT or not. Great validation for Clark. Loved it.//
Right. Because he is otherwise too often deprived of it, I felt it was a much needed validation that he got here.
//If only we'd been able to see Martha give Clark the box in person. It was such a nice touch because the trailer had me assuming Jor-El was behind the reflected \S/. Though if Martha inherited all things Lionel, Jor-El's emissary, perhaps Jor-El was indirectly involved.//
Ah, yes. I hadn't thought of that. Could very well be. Though with Jor-El MIA, perhaps we'll never know?
