Don't feel bad I feel the same way about Chloe. The TPTB are so in love with Allison Mack that they forgot about the character imo. Hearing commentary from last season cemented that.

It was a ridiculous exit. I mean, what was that! She's off to be a hero trainer? She's---married---?

It was incredibly stupid. The should have just stopped at her being a journalist again which would have fit with the arc of her finding herself again. It was supremely contradictory she's like I can't go back but she is going back and the marriage? That's just stupid.

I felt much the same way you did. It's so sad to me that they have lost sight of what's important. The pandering to Chloe/Chlollie fans was off the charts. The BW/WW comment almost sent me over the edge.

TPTB really lost the plot this season, and then some. It has been such a wayward, underwhelming, dissapointing final season. The highs have been magnificent but far too rare.

Right?! I can't even.

I completely agree with what you've added on TPTB' views on Lana and Chloe. I cannot, and will not forgive them for over-inflating to such ridiculous degrees Chloe' impact on Clark' journey as a hero.

//strongly suggests that she intends for Clark to meet them, presumably when she think he's/they're ready. Ugh.//

I see your 'ugh' and I raise you a double ugh. The very notion that these characters would need Chloe to introduce them - infuriating. And yes, absolutely, I got the impression too, that she was very much going into her smug, all knowing mother-hen-of-heroes mode there.

My initial reaction was disgust as well. I want Chloe to be happy and ... I don't begrudge Chloe/Chlollie fans their happiness. But for Chloe Sullivan's last episode I didn't want to turn off my brain and whitewash her entire history on the show. I just... didn't. I love the comparison contrast you make between Chloe's final arc and Lana's final arc. Both characters deserved better writing and more honest payoffs to their history on Smallville.

Whitwash is an excellent way to describe what went on. And it is sad, because for all her time spent on the show, we really should have been remembering Chloe more fondly. But as it is? I'm very pleased to see the back of her.

The first time we hear of frikkin Bruce and Diana on this show, it's in relation to Chloe. That's right, not Clark, but Chloe.

This is what tipped me over from stunned disbelief to outright fury.

Exactly. I mean, that the ep had the gall to imply what it did - ridiculous.
