looking for advice

I'm looking into buying a car (I don't have money right upfront so that's why I'm gonna go the dealership way). I was thinking about Hickory Hollow Kia. I know that Rivergate Kia sucks... but was wondering what people know or thought of Hickory Hollow Kia. I need any information and/or advice I can get ( Read more... )

Although I live in Colorado... I can give you some advice about Kia's.. I had a 2002 Kia Sportage (4-cyl.) & had a lot of little problems with it. It could have been because I pushed it a bit (having a V6 prior to the Kia) or who knows.. The service that was needed got way too expensive, so I didn't keep up with ALL of it. You have to get a $600-800 tune-up every 15,000 miles to keep up with all of the warranties. But I guess either you pay less up front & more for service on a foreign car or more up front & less for service on American cars.. so either way you get screwed! :p I had it for 5 years & finally traded it in for my PT Cruiser in May. I ♥ my Crusier! But, if you are going for an SUV I would get the Sorento over the Sportage any day! Or any of the other sedans! :)

Good Luck car shopping!!

Hickory Hollow Kia is the one that sold me a car I couldn't afford. They falsified my information when sending in the application for the loan with Wells Fargo. Cully got me out of it because he called them on the fact that they instructed me to lie to Wells Fargo, should they call, or the loan wouldn't go through. After I returned the car and got the old Prelude back, Wells Fargo continued to call me and tell me I was late on my first payment and I had to go bck to the dealership and get paperwork to fax to them to prove that I was not in possession of the car because Hickory Hollow Kia didn't pull the deal, which was sent to WF after I returned the car.

Be wary of dealerships, especially that one. Some of them will change the information and flat out lie after you've already signed the paperwork.

well maybe they've changed.. maybe new management. I'm not going to sign anything. Dad's offered for me to get the papers from them (and if they don't let me walk out with the papers, then they are not one to deal with) and have me read it to him so that we can decide if they are something to deal with. I posted this question on Nashvillians and got a lot of responses.

Call my parents. My Dad gets all goofy excited about stuff like this and is always a fountain of information. And since he's dealt with so many dealerships on legal matters, he has a very insightful perspective on most places. lol

ooooo I'll have to do that. The idea of getting a new car is only an idea for right now. I don't even know what kind of car I want. I'm just looking around til I decide. But, I certainly want one soon.
