Oh my gosh. I'd heard about it, but I didn't realize that you went to school there. I'm so glad that you're okay, and so sorry this happened at your university. I can't imagine anyone not being rattled after something like that. I think going to see your family for the weekend was wise.
Stay safe, and take care of yourself. Or let your family take care of you for the weekend; either one works. My thoughts and prayers are with you and with the others at NIU. ::hugs::
Thanks. Scary is right; people in my building (and all over campus, I guess) were locked inside the classrooms for an hour, until we got the all-clear.
It is very good to hear from you my friend. It was a relief to see the tower on my LJ friend's page. Now I can stop reading news reports trying to get names. Even before this, I was wondering what you have been up to.
As an aside, I have made my first attempt to get through the Foundation books. I have read the original trilogy and the two prequels thus far. I can definitely see why you have read these books many, many times. In general, I really like the books, particularly the prequels. My only major objection was I wish the characters, other then the mule, had a bit more free will.
Do take care, and if you need any further distraction, remember pitchers and catchers are reporting :) Plus, for perhaps the first time ever, the Mets and Cubs enter the season as favorites in the NL.
