1. digital kitchen is some premiere shit, dude! congratulations on the interview! i think it's all about how you present yourself. i think that if you're honest about your inexperience, but express a willingness to learn and grow in the position, that comes off very well. but, unfortunately, especially in crappy shit times like we're presently in, it's not hard to find the perfect person for the job, namely someone who doesn't require training. that's when you have to rely on personality and work ethic and shit, which i think you have plenty of, and make them feel like they're going to be missing something if they don't hire you. don't get down, dude. at least you got the opportunity. and you can totally bullshit about getting called for an interview by digital kitchen to other places! hey ( ... )

so we'll obviously talk about this more later, but one interview tip i can offer up to you is to use this phrase A LOT: "i'm a quick learner and an enthusiastic one at that." another good one in the same vein is: "i might not have the exact amount of experience you're looking for, know that in terms of having an ego or having a stringent way of doing things isn't imbedded in my constitution; i want to do work for you the way YOU want me to." etc ( ... )

i will say that i think i basically reworded both of those statements yesterday. i remember saying something about understanding that this was the point in my career when i was entirely prepared to pay my dues and work hard and all that. and i think i also said that while there are certainly things i don't know, there should never be a question of how hard i will work and that i enjoy learning about the business.

anyway. i can't wait to see you buddy. if for no other reason than it means blair won't get mad at me for buying a pack of cigarettes.
