i saw the laws of attraction today. the hot, smart, successful female attorney was acting all ambitious and career-oriented, but all the while it was just because she was too scurred and insecure to do what she REALLY wanted to do: get married. DUH! of COURSE any woman over 30 (or 15 for that matter) that's not in a steady relationship has issues, ( Read more... )

Ewww what is settling for being a lawyer when one secretly desired to just be lamely married and staying at home. I am so disappointed! I love Pierce and Julianne. Those 80% of women too busy probably realize that 80% of straight men are dickless dicks. Haha, yes I'm sure a vibrator can be an adequate substitute.

haha yee i was so blind- they show julianne being all nervous even though she's the more established one, and pierce is just cruisin' along and manipulating her but loving her all along. >:P

That's why I didn't like Bridget Jones' Diary very much. I mean, I love the cute dumbness of such films, not to mention the Englishness. But the whole goddamn message of the film is that she needs to clean up her act so that she can get with some guy. What the fuck? I don't see why she can't clean up her act for her own sake. It seems like neither she nor the film considers her life successful until that crowning moment when she has settled on a relationship. I jus hate ANY kind of relationship dependence, whether it's an h on an h, or an h on a g. (or a g on a g, etc. etc.!)

haha mmm hm, i think i fell asleep halfway through bjd but i was blind at its perpetual std'in as well, and especially its weight obsession. i heard the mreeks exaggerated that and it wasn't that weight-obsessed in the book? @_@ dunno. rage at sex and the city as well in that regard- all the h's are so std with fashion/ anorexia hand-in-hand, and even samantha who is the baker-for-fun is later shown as having been in search of monogamy the whole tam. >:P it's one thing if it just gets sick of baking around (?!) and really likes a thing, but what is discovering that was its true calling. how is l word in terms of stp? >:D there were many raging words about it in the last issue of bitch, but more focused on how it seems truly catered to straight g's. like there's some hetero couple that the show allegedly focuses on more on than lemonades? and some lemonade couple that is trying to seduce some g to have their bebster?? @_@ what would be the ultimate g-dream, hah.
haha, cute review. it loves the bjd slumber prate suggezion! >:D

it ain't not read bridget jyoti's diary, but it recalls thumbing through doobie m's copy and seeing weight diligently noted in each entry. so praps there's some obsession, but who knows. blind at how things thought renee was so fat when film came out! it so didn't look anything abnormal to mees ( ... )
