I am writing a Trek fic with bible verses because I had some bright spark of an idea about how religious fundamentalists would feel about human/klingon (or really human/anything else) relationships.

Surely religious fundamentalists would be far too busy insisting that alien life forms don't exist ;)

It really does throw a wrench in that whole "God made the universe for mankind alone" idea, doesn't it?

Perhaps they'll discover it was a translation error. It really should've read "mankind and klingons" :D

I remember someone pointing out to me that Aliens don't suffer from Original Sin, since the sin is passed down through the generations from Adam. In a sense, Aliens are above humans in that sense, which I always thought would thrown an interesting wrench into an alien conqueror story.

That's a good point, come to think of it. On the one hand, they don't suffer from original sin- on the other hand, I could see super duper religiousy people taking aliens as animals/beasts- which purportedly do not have souls, and thus original sin would be a moot point.

I'm going with the "aliens as beasts" thing and using that as a springboard for a group which equates interspecies relationships between humanoids with bestiality.

That's really interesting- thanks for commenting on that. I'll probably repeat that to a few people.
