Are they providing sample letters or anything else for people to send in or sign in support? I'd take the time to send a letter, but wording for these things is always a bit challenging...I can see the bare bones of it in the above release, it would just need to be formed into a decent objection letter.

Nothing formal. If I come up with something, I'll post it here, but I was thinking of calling instead of writing.

And please, if you construct something, post it here and I'll make sure others see it!

I'm hoping they come up with something, I sadly don't have time (nor do I think I truly have the expertise) but I may just write an email/letter of my own or call. I wonder what happens when one just tries to call the Governor?

Gleesh. For the amount of taxes these morons are soaking us for in the years to come, I could think they could spare the poor zoo that actually BENEFITS society in the Commonwealth and makes money.

I'm glad to see Cahill throwing his hands up in the air, and possibly running for an independent. I won't be voting to reelect Patrick, that's for sure...

WTF! *outrage*. I have never been able to reconcile MA's liberal political leanings with their miserly stance on "public ANYTHING". Education, museums, zoos, you name it. It's like it's only for the original wealthy pilgrim families or something. Man, NYC is so much more public-art/music/stuff friendly, if you can believe that (given how expensive a place it is).

Tell me who to write to!

Thanks for posting this, J. I'll try to draft a letter tomorrow, and if I'm satisfied with how it comes out, I'll post it.
