the characters feel so real this is so real life i don't know what to say, just… GOTSTAR FOREVER. after reading the opening scene i was already thinking yes this is jb this is the one and i think your mark is the best mark i've ever read. i don't even know Who mark tuan is or how i see him but i rarely come across characterisations of him that feel right to me. until now that is *______*
and aah how you vividly described music and related it to jb's feelings like someone had plugged the jack of an audio cable into the base of his spine and turned up the volume like someone crashed a cymbal over his entire body, leaving his insides quivering and awake. i felt everything too, it was me re: this fic. i'm in love.

This was such a good read, words fail me to tell you just how much i loved it. It was long, but i found myself unable to stop reading until the very end.
AHHH author-nim, this is really great! Wow, the ending, wow, never has a love story felt more snatched from the jaws of fate, and more precious for it. I love the character arcs, really love that they're both flawed in not-quite-complementary ways, but still meet in the middle. Near the ending, where JB thought that they were more similar than he thought, for some reason, that part really moved me! And also, everyone else in this was really great! Love the Jackson&Mark and Jinyoung&JB in this, how it's not overshadowed by the romance at all. Ahh, it's a very masterfully understated and moving story, I can't wait until the reveal and I can read all the rest of your works!
The subtlety of this fic really gets to me you know? Even the confession in the restaurant was kind of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment. I had a staunch opposition to jb/other people pairings bc i love jjp to death, but this was the first markbum i read and i have no regrets holding on until the end (tho i was holding my breath waiting for jjp moments the entire time.). Now markbum is second in my list of otps, right after jjp. Thanks so much for this.
