[The device clicks on to show a sideways view of the Winchester-Milton kitchen, and an unfortunately short blond trying to reach on top of the fridge. She's searching around for SUGAR of all things, and looking pretty peeved to be doing so.] Who keeps things up here?! [Reeeaching, but still no success. She rocks back onto the flats of her feet ( Read more... )

I have sugar. How do you not have sugar for your coffee? That's...inhumane.

[OOC; Brennan finds a kindred spirit...]

We must've ran out. Usually there's plenty here. [This is Jo trying to pretend she knew the communicator was on this whole time. Ohjeeze.]

[Admittedly, he'd been watching her struggle for a few seconds before he heard the shout about Anna. Not realizing she was looking for sugar, he just kind of..watched, thinking she was looking for something that might logically be on top of the refrigerator, though really nothing should go up there. He thought it was amusing, but when she asked why Anna wasn't back, that light mood switched to something of a mixture of sadness and, well, fear.

But Jo doesn't know that. No one but Doll does, cuz he's doing his best to hide it. As much as he enjoyed getting to know Anna, he's not sure he wants her coming back - especially considering what she might come back as. It took a lot for them to become almost-friends, and all of that was now depending on the flip of a coin.

He finally walks into the kitchen with a halfway forced smile and leans against one of the counters.]

You know, if you really need sugar, we can go to the store. It's not that far.

[Jo spins to see Sam's right there in the kitchen with her, and for a second she hopes he didn't hear her little freak out. It's unlikely, but maybe if she pretends it didn't happen, he would too. Right.]

I do! Really need it. Yeah. [She clears her throat, because she still sounds panicked, in a way. Two seconds to breathe, yeah, that'd be good.] Unless you just wanted to grab coffee somewhere? I guess we should just go shopping anyway. I've got some cash. Do we need anything else? [... Wow, she really sucked at this kind of thing. She blames her mother for this.]

[Smooth like butter, Jo. Sammy totally knows what's going on in her head, and he understands, so he doesn't comment on it. At least, not on what's really under her skin. Keeping the mood light, like..a lightbulb. Or something. Yeah.]

Maybe we should stop giving you anything sweet or with caffeine in it. But shopping, we can do. I think we're out of toilet paper, too.

Yeahsure, mom, just try to take away my caffeine. [She's just going to give you a LOOK, Winchester, because that's just crazytalk.]

Okay, so. Sugar, TP, and we could probably stand to get another case of beer in the fridge, huh? [Jo's looking around the kitchen again, biting her lip as she tries to figure out what else they need. Beer and sugar for coffee sounds just about right though, yeah.] Wanna go now? Just to get it out of the way. I'm not even sure I know where the supermarket is in this place.

I can be over with sugar in like... 5 minutes. So long as you promise not to harm anyone or any condiments.

Well, that works too. And I was varsity sugar bringer in high school, so it’s no big deal.

[Might... be a little embarrassed.]

The lack of sugar thing is just the icing on a really stupid cake. I don't usually- I really like coffee or whatever, but it's not like-

Yeah, nevermind, it's as bad as it looks. [SHEEEEEPISH.]
