Sam was rather pleased with how well his classes were going so far. The coursework was giving him something to do and while it was challenging, he definitely had enough time to work on it all. The raft was ready. Or at least as ready as they were going to get it. Some logs fashioned together, a rudimentary mast along with a sail and a rudder all made up the raft. Sam wasn't sure what pistols at dawn was going to entail, but he was pretty sure it would not entail a duel. Ninety percent sure at least. Eighty percent sure if he was really, really low balling it. This was going to be awkward, there was no doubt about it. There were not enough turtles in all the oceans to demonstrate the level of awkward this was going to be. Sam had been to the edge of dinosaur territory a few times. Cassie lived so far north that it would have been foolish not to just go the rest of the way a few times to see them. While he didn't necessarily need Coraline along, Sam knew how badly she had wanted to get out while grounded.
