I was just eating my Raisin Bran and contemplating the various bottles of medication on the kitchen counter and noticed the TAKE WITH FOOD label on the Rimadyl. Caring owners always make sure to accompany their dogs' medication with soda, a hamburger, and a big bunch of grapes.

Freya must have been sad that she didn't get to go the vet AGAIN in August so she's made up for by getting some kind of ear infection and making it very alarming by developing this fat hematoma. It's so full I'm worried it will burst. So, vet today at 12:30pm. Took her to the ER last night because the appointment desk said there weren't any slots ( Read more... )

Irene has been totally underwhelming here in the middle of NYC and it looks like the rain is passing. Apparently there could be flooding to come but that probably won't be a concern for me since we're on relatively high ground. No power outages ( Read more... )

This feather is from the extremely yummy place underneath Scooter's wing, what I call her wingpit. It is so soft and warm and nice smelling under there, and she'll often let me give her wingpit kisses. She's doing some molting right now so there are little feathers all over the place. I keep the nice ones in a vase.
