Ok I am just going to write in here just because it doesn't matter all that much seeing as not one person will be reading this.. Even if you do read it you wont post to it.. Actully, stuck is past-tense... as in "the pieces are stuck together..." It implies that the "adhering" has already taken place. However, the word adhere, is an action word... as in "Now, you need to adhere the two pieces together..." You must also adhere to the rules of the classroom. Adhere is actually closer to comply, than to stuck or stick. He was undoubtedly attempting to use a form of the word adhesive in order to sound more intelligent (didn't work). Or perhaps, he was simply attempting paraphrase your answer as to avoid duplicate answers.

Don't worry, you're not stupid, just overly-critical of yourself (at least in this case.)

And you got a response from someone other than Ashley!
