So why is it...

...that when Yahoo mail is looking at my cousin's letter from Iraq, the site's advertising recommends I check my credit score? ...and when it's on the weekly spam from Pier 1 Importers, it recommends a site for BBW singles?

Yahoo, you confound me; this is why you are only used for spam and livejournal.

The sense of being confounded you feel is probably also directly related to the fact that Yahoo actually STILL charges people $25/year for basic features like POP3 access that many of its competitors offer fore free. Hell, even Microsoft of all the bloated slow-to-react companies just as of this week made their POP3 access for hotmail free, I'm surprised people actually use yahoo/hotmail for serious email as opposed to just livejournal and spam :P

The funny thing is, the advertising used to be more relevant-at least it would display ads for sites whence I'd actually ordered things or visited in the not-too-distant past, and now it suggests BBW and Christian singles for me too......

Sweet BBW Christian singles! Prefer not to get laid? Prefer not to want to think about it? They've got you covered!
