*Sigh* Just got the next lot of moduals for my son's IT traineeship. Two, ten trillion page text books (well it feels like that). I'm so worn out and first assignment must be in in two weeks. That means reading it all with him, explaining it in ways he understands, testing he knows what it all means, then guiding him through the assignment ( Read more... )

Worn out is the word. I'd probebly be less tired if hubby hadn't taken up snoring all night over the last month or so. (winter sinus issues)

You must be so tired. And no wanting some free time doesn't make you mean, it makes you human.

*Hugs back*

We're getting that free time. I've organized someone to come stay with the kids for a hole weekend next month, Ray and I will take off for the weekend. I can't wait.

I think you are a wonderful mother to take the considerable time it takes to integrate the information your son needs and explain it in a way that makes sense to him. You are helping him find a place in this world where he will be productive and happy and bringing yourselves closer as well. We all write and read about costumed heroes on his list, but your "Mom Heroism" beats all of that.

Your diligence will pay off in so many ways, the most important of which is that your children can't help but see how much love you've given them and give it back in return. And it will do your heart good to see them in jobs they love someday.

As a teacher and a mother, I bow humbly in respect of your efforts.

Jamie

Well done on your childrens reports cards, u should be very pleased. I think you are doing a wonderful in raising your children as i can imagine it must be very tough to bring up children with learning disoders.

You really are an amazing woman and you should be very proud of yourself for all your hard work =).

Had to smile when reading this. I'm feeling rather the same but from the other side. Mid-year reports are a bitch to do. Am SOOoooo looking forward to Friday afternoon when I can be relatively kid free and not a report card in sight... *sigh*

*Grins* I don't know how teachers do it. I was a teacher's Aide for 9 yrs before my first son was born, and honestly I just could not go back to that work. I just am 'kidded' out I think.
