[Kay is lying face-down in the snow. The snow is soaked with his blood. He doesn't move, aside from a slight twitching.]

H-hello?

[He barely manages to talk. He gets up on his hands and knees, shaking, and the collapses again.]

(ooc; Continued from here. action post for whoever finds him. Voice post for everybody else.)

Peony for healing and Geranium for comfort, they thread nicely together in a small bundle of four and three respectively, tied with three ribbons--one of peridot green, one of sky blue, and one of seashell pink. These are what Luna Lovegood brings with her to the nameless person spotted on the network earlier in the day. It seems to have been quite an unfortunate accident, or not-accident, but she isn't here to pry. He said his friends would help him, but it is nice to know that sometimes strangers care too.

"Hello," she says when she pushes the door open with near silence, peering in. Her voice is soft as usual, so if he is asleep she will simply leave the flowers and exit, but if he is awake, quiet voices carry well enough to be heard.

He hears her. Being that he spends most of his time without eyes, he has very good hearing.

"Yes?" he responds. He is looking a bit better than he did on the video, the blood being cleaned up and bandages put around his eyes, but he still shakes a bit.

"You look better," she says and then walks over to stand near the bedside, but there is a polite pace or three between them, as if the idea of a personal bubble involves a literal radius that falls between one person and the next.

"Are you," she pauses, tilting her head at the eyeless one. "...allergic to flowers by any chance?" That would be one of only a couple reasons to not leave them behind as planned.

"Thanks." he says, though he is aware that he won't look much better once the bandages come off. Empty eye sockets are not a pleasant sight.

"No, no, I don't have any allergies."

Though she thinks it must be uncomfortable to be missing one's eyes, Luna has never minded unpleasant sights, and she sometimes thinks it would be more accurate to call them unexpected.

"That's good," she says and because 'these are for you' is unnecessary, she simply reaches for his hands. This could be read as invasive, but her movement is slow and simple, her hands small and barely there with touch as she places the flowers into his. He cannot see, but they are fortunate to have more than that sense alone. Touch and smell are just as important and telling in their own ways and flowers play well to both of these.

The meanings of the flowers don't need to be explained either. It is enough that they mean something at all.

"I am glad your friends found you," she adds a bit dreamily, but that description can be applied to her at most times. "It is nice to have friends."

He takes the flowers and clutches them tightly in one hand, brushing the petals with the other. "Thank you." he says, though he has to wonder why someone he's never met before would be so concerned about him.

However, with all he's been forced to see he is never one to turn down a random act of kindness. But, he thought he better at least introduce himself.

"I'm Kay," he says, "I'm afraid I didn't get your name yet."

"Luna," she replies, stepping once backward, one hand going to adjust the wand behind her ear, the other hanging easily at her side. Though not a mind reader, she is aware that care for people one does not know is considered a bit strange or at least inexplicable as far as behavior goes, but that is much in keeping with her usual way. It is the only way she has ever chosen to know, after all.

"Pleased to meet you," she smiles and her tone curves upward as her lips do.

"You as well." he says, "And thank you for your concern. And the flowers.

He shivers a little. Despite being an improvement over the snowbank, he was still rather cold. And cold was his weakness. "Um, if you could, could you go into one of the drawers over there and get me another blanket? I get cold quite easily."

"Of course," she says when normally she would just nod her head and moves to acquire said blanket, bringing it out and draping it evenly across his lap. It is substantial enough that it reaches down to fall just an inch or so off the foot of the bed. Not tucking, as that is for the familiar, she simply tugs a bit on one corner closer to him to even it slightly before stepping back again.

"Flowers are very nice, I tend to think, so long as the warbnauts don't get into them." The last bit is murmured but no less thoughtful.

He pulled the blanket up as far as he could without covering his face. Back home, he usually had four or more blankets, but he couldn't ask for too much here.

"Yes, they are nice, even when I can't see them." he said, pausing for a moment, "What is a warbnaut?"

Tilting her head and watching him closely, Luna removed the wand from behind her ear and let a whisper escape into the air, but even good ears probably couldn't pick up on it, still the barely there tap of wand tip to the edge of the blanket provided a simple charm, a warming one. It would not get too hot but it would provide some extra warmth, doing the work of more than one regular blanket at least.

"Warbnauts are very small creatures, a bit insect like really, though they aren't insects. They're warbnauts. People mistake them for worms sometimes, I think, as they are rather fond of apples, but too much will make them very sick," she idled on and eventually she said, "I'm sorry about your eyes."

And she truly was.

He did not hear her say the spell but he certainly felt the effects. He figured it was just a really good blanket and was not going to question it, even though he found it a little odd. He listened intently as she explained about the warbnauts, he liked hearing about strange things from other worlds (though they might not be so strange in their own world, he guessed).

"Oh, we don't have any of those in my world. At least, I don't think we do." he said, "And don't worry too much about my eyes. This is...not the first time I've been without them. They will grow back, eventually."

To the reply her own eyes widen just slightly.

"Grow back?" she inquires, because often people say these things and it is more courteous to not inquire further but she is a curious one and has found, in the past, that it is easier to be honest about one's questions. It makes for simpler answers.

"Yes. There are cursed mirror shards stuck in my eye sockets, so my eyes will always grow back no matter what, even if it takes a few years." he said, not afraid at all of explaining his situation. Most people were curious about it.

Like the fairytale, she thought but did not say. Many words could often be used but not many were often necessary.

"Do you prefer to be without them? Shards would hurt, I imagine," she spoke carefully, quietly, hands clasped softly behind her back.

"They don't hurt that much anymore. They hurt at first, but they've been stuck in there since I was very young." he said, "But I would still rather be without them. The mirror they are from reflects only the evil in others, and thus I am forced to see the evil in everyone else, too. It is quite unpleasant."
