I'm way ahead of you. That was like my first thought. Clearly since the fates conspired - and they really conspired, my not checking my phone obsessively for texts is just damn unlikely - against me and therefore it was not meant to be. For some reason. Problem is, I can't for the life of me figure out the reason aside from CRUEL WORLD!!
And it totally was because I was just there. I kind of noticed and reported a minor glitch in the computer network while I was there. So I was at the front of her brain. And that's the problem with these things - you need to be at the FRONT of their brains.
My hope is that something else will come up at the school for next year. And I will be sending her an email reminding her exactly who I am and that I am applying, even though that's against the rules. I have gotten to the point where I am landing firmly on fuck the rules. Fucking the rules is how people are getting the jobs, it's time I lifted my skirt.
LOL regarding the last line. I'm going with the theory that this job wasn't meant to be because the job you actually get is going to be either THE MOST PERFECT FIT EVER, even better than this one, or that the next job is going to involve some kind of learning experience that you need in order to ascend to the next plane of existence, blah blah blah.
