Obviously, the Conservation of Pain principle is still in full effect. The visit was good, so the travel was hell. If your stay had been full of pain and tears, you'd have had perfect flights both ways.

But it still sucks.

My mom decided that since we were out thataway, she'd like to visit Chinatown Saturday morning. I tried to see if you'd be free to join us, but alas, you were off doing your own far more important stuff! As if. :)

Airlines just seem to be getting nastier. I don't know why, but it really makes me wish for a hammer.

My flight on American Airlines was pretty shitty too. United is much better about handling their screw ups anyway. Even Delta is better, though Nadie certainly had a crap time of it with them on her flight out to California last year.

Sadly? I think it's just gotten to the point that you can't expect decent service from any airline anymore. It's gone away with the free peanuts and crappy airline food.
