I've moved...
I've moved, now to the new place. So, so, so much thanks to my now ex-roomie who likely wants to KILL me for putting thing off to the last minute. He is still awesome, even if he probably wants to beat me to death with one of my own appendages. I am back in civilization, where people recycle and just don't throw everything away. Where the heat and humidity doesn't kill you just by stepping outside. Where not every other vehicle on the road is a truck and half of those are big Peterbilt engine/Ford F350s, and half of those have handicapped placards (have you every seen how high those ( Read more... ) -

My mother has been moved after considerable effort by my uncle and my brother, and considerable money, for both packers, then movers as well. She's got so much CRAP, and not just the things we moved, but also two storage lockers. One here in Texas, another in Oklahoma. Over half of it, unused, a waste of money. My mother fell down and broke her hip last night. She's only 64. She's okay, but the ball of her femur has to be replaced. I was heading out there on Friday anyway, but it appears I will be spending my vacation taking care of her ( Read more... ) -
