I know you've been out this way before, but if you want to drop in again, you're always welcome! We're moving mid-November, so that's the only time it might be hard to make it work. :)
I would like to take an ASL class, what with all the signing I've been doing with the wee one. I know my actual ASL grammar is terrible, but it works for us. :D I would like to get something more formal sometime though. What made you decide to take it?
(edit: hm, this was supposed to be a reply to the original post, not the comment above =) )
I've always been interested in ASL. I just thought it'd be the neatest thing ever to talk with your hands since I was a kid. Y'know, in case I was taken prisoner (because I was a spy) or just to say rude things about people in front of them (that was as a teenager).
And I just like languages and seeing how things fit together. It was great fun, and the teacher, Matt is great.
I know you're living down the peninsula, but not sure on specifics, I'm not sure if getting to Fremont is easy for you, but I'm guessing there's a school for the deaf in the area, thus a lot of cultural type things around. I could forward a list of event type/resource stuff if you'd like.
I've heard there's a school up there, and a couple of the JCs down here have classes - it's mostly trying to schedule stuff around dealing with the little one, and having the extra cash to take it also. Fremont's 20-ish minutes up 680 from me. But I'm sure it's going to have to wait until she's a little older - maybe then we can do something together:)
