I was thinking the other day....I have learned the greatest lessons from the people who have tested my patience, demoralized my ego and broken my heart.  This may all sound very cliche and dull...but it's the truth.

Stayed in last night...it's been such a long time since I have done this.  I thought it was going to be painful and unbearable.  But it was just right :)  I need to do this more often.  I feel so rejuvenated.  Off to do more studying...

Having a car and having to drive to work is excruciatingly painful

Reasons:
1) Stress induced by traffic
2) The never ending increase in gas prices
3) Expensive car maintenance
4) Car insurance
5) Once you wreck/damage your car, you have to buy another one/get it repaired because you have to transport yourself to work and make a living!

I loved my co-workers, my boss and the people I've met here.  These people will be missed...

Last day at NIH - good bye to basic science research.  It has been a long and arduous battle, needless to say - vexatious, tumultuous and demoralizing.  I am finally leaving the battlefield...this is just not my shit.

I don't want to say that my dreams are finally materializing into reality but rather the nightmare is finally ending...
