Dancing Epiphany

Today I realized that I'm a PITIFUL dancer.  Little did I know that Mahogany were just baby steps...more like baby crawls.  I came upon this epiphany when I auditioned for DC Culture Shock and OMG I was culturally shocked in the realm of the dancing world.  When it was my turn to present the choreographed piece, I totally blanked out and could not ( Read more... )

But I am glad I found a dance company that will take my dancing level to a level I myself could not even conceive.

There you go! As long as you've found one that makes you happy, who cares about the other.

I've been watching The American Idol try outs... my goodness. I am considered to be an above average singer, but there is NO way that I would audition for something like that. Some of those people are fantastic... plus, I wouldn't have the heart to be rejected....

The subject heading is a saying the Chinese say when they want to encourage others. It's like the English saying of "Go! You can do it!" even though it literally means "add gasoline".

I completely empathize with your plight. I joined an orchestra a while ago and am getting my proverbial rear end kicked. But it's situations like these that should be used to spur us onwards, daring to be better than we are. I know you can excel at whatever you put your mind to doing.
