Someone asked me to write this down - not for the faint-hearted

Once upon a time, I was in Wal-Mart with my 4 kids, forgetting what it's like to shop with a baby (it had been so long). The 3 older kids made a bee-line for the electronics dept. where they like to hang out and play video games. Alan needed a diaper as soon as I got into the store but the front restroom was closed for cleaning, so I figured I'd ( Read more... )

Isn't a dead head a skull? gracelett March 4 2006, 19:26:57 UTC
I didn't mean to offend you. Was it meant to inspire?

Whew!! I had forgotten how overwhelming it can be at times when your kiddos are young. God is GREATER than all of our trials though, so isn't that great you can look back on this and see how He provided in your time of need.

Yeah, but.... onthe45xxxx March 5 2006, 00:16:14 UTC
It wasn't really meant to do anything. It was a product of boredom, nothing more. Not everything I do has a alternate meaning.

I agree with the cussing, though. It's a horrible habit. To my credit, I only do it a lot when angry. But, yeah...that's no excuse. I have bigger problems. Oh, and in case you were wondering. I went to my first counseling session last Wednesday. It was good. I think I can actually make progress... I'll post more about it later. Get on AIM. NOW!

So here I am, playing the advocate. If the skull doesn't have an alternate meaning, then it means what it is, which leads me to wonder about the "meditations of your heart." Ok, enough already, I know. I'll leave it alone. I would love to hear how your counseling session went. I'm on AIM now but I guess I missed you. I have to get dinner going now so I'll wait to read your next post or I'll see you online some other time. Peace, chick!

Ok, I'll admit that "Was it meant to inspire?" was a bit facetious. Please excuse the sarcasm. It doesn't come across well in text. I wasn't trying to mock you but I wasn't looking for something deeper either; it was troubled enough all by itself. Would you wonder how I'm doing if I drew a bloody knife and posted it? Death is a grave thing, you know. (Smirk)

Don't let one scary story deprive you of a rich blessing. You're right - it's worth the hassle. His grace is sufficient, and it was fun to write about it later. Of course, it might not be a bad idea to shop while hubby has the kids once in a while. :o)
