matthew dane blair was born last night. 7 1bs, 19.5 in. darrin says he should be discharged this afternoon.. that's so fast! he'll be discharged to chelsea, his birthmother and then she'll hand him over to them. she can't sign the papers until 48 hours after his birth.. about 7PM tomorrow night. i'm so excited for them. should be interesting/ ( Read more... ) -

lori - xmas
lori and i put a $150 limit on gifts for each other -- i'm totally stoked right now because i just found what i was looking for - for an unbeatable price. i've now finished her shopping with $3 to spare :-)
we're both taking 1/2 a day off today to get some shopping done and take shae for pics with santa.
45 minutes until departure. -
thanksgiving
we spent yesterday at mom & dad's. got there around 1030; ate dinner at 1. shae fell asleep just before 1 and slept until 3. basically, she slept thru her 1st thanksgiving. we hung out until around 6 - eating and visiting ( Read more... ) -
friday. wyatt's room. zoo. shannon.
busy day. started the day pretty early. rode out to staci & wade's to finish painting wyatt's room. we were there for a few hours in the morning. then, we headed into town to take shae to the zoo and to visit shannon in the hospital. we had a great time at the zoo! of course, we were video-ing everything. there's a new baby giraffe and a new ( Read more... ) -
saturday.
not much to note other than lori is getting pretty darn good at grilling burgers. spent the day cleaning the house. made a point to stop and watch the aggie football game and, of course, they lost by 1 point. -
sunday.
sumera & mike came to visit us today. (hi sumera). it was great seeing them.. i think it's been like - a year. too long.. anyway, we talked about kids and filthy animals, a little politics & religion and how dr. walker has a personal vendetta against sumera. just the usual stuff. we went to el toro for dinner (mom bailed on sunday dinner ( Read more... ) -

shae is sitting beside me in her bouncy seat. she drops her pacifier and, instead of crying to get my attention, she just cranes her neck and works her tongue - trying to retrieve it herself. it's funny.
yesterday, we saw dr. p. for the second time in less than a week. we're now trying a soy-based formula. this is the 4th formula in 6 weeks. * ( Read more... ) -
