Eric's feelings for Van will become clear for sure. I think he just needs to admit to himself and Van. Glad you liked Terri. I race into work on posting days to get this up for all of you and (avoid work to respond as well). I think flashback and the surgery kiss days were some of my favorites and I'm glad you think they work. ~Ali

Thank you for the early birthday wishes Ali! This update was the perfect birthday gift!

He never denied it when Terri asked him, but I think Eric's feelings run deeper than just a simple crush. I think Eric's in love with Van and that scares him shitless. He's scared of getting hurt or hurting Van, but at least he's thinking about it. That is pretty evident right here... What if…” He leaned over, catching Terri’s gaze. “What if I hurt him the way I hurt Christopher? I couldn’t do that to Van.”

I'm very curious about this Christopher person and what happened between them. Did Eric just get scared of the relationship with him or were his unresolved feelings for Van a factor in their breakup? And I can't wait for Van's reaction when he finds out that Eric was in a relationship with a man. I think that'll change the whole playing field.

I'm glad you liked your gift. ;-) Eric is scared, that's for sure. I'm not sure what his exact feelings are at the moment regarding Van, but fear is uup there. Oh man I love your updates, but I just always want more. Eric has more than a crush for sure. I think if he really stopped to think about it, he hurt Christopher because he wasn't Van and never would be. I think that if given the opportunity to be with Van he would take the steps he needed to to be with him. Van would be worth all the risk. He already knows that Terri and Jenny still love him no matter who he is with. His kids would have to adjust, but would understand. I just can't wait till Van finds out about Christopher. Can't wait for the next chapter.

I think some of these chapters in this section are a little on the small-size but they'll get longer. Not sure if you're still going to be left wanting more... (I hope so.) Regarding Christopher, I think Eric makes a strong realization and it comes from his interactions with Van. Again I'll be curious what you think of Van's reaction. I'll have chapter 9 (my favorite actually) on Friday. ~Ali

Eric will respond to Terri's question at some point and I'm glad/grateful you liked her in this. We'll see some more of Eric and Christopher. I think this chapter was a little on the short side, I'm afraid, but they'll be longer soon. I'm so glad you're looking forward to updates.
