Miss M's best friend is over for a playdate. Overhearing a dispute about to erupt over turns on the rocking horse and who's being a knight, I actually heard myself say, "Why doesn't *friend* be the knight and you can be the princess to be rescued since you're wearing a dress." *facepalm*

They abandoned that game about 30 seconds later.

But it's true. It's much harder to be a knight in a dress. Just because something is gender-fied doesn't mean it isn't accurate.

That's not the facepalm part. If it was just knight and princess I'd have to think twice about things, but I'd be ok. It's the "to be rescued."
