Either going to have to reinstall windows or let vondow install linux. Tried the linux booting from a CD since kids went to bed last night. Miss M's best friend is over for a playdate. Overhearing a dispute about to erupt over turns on the rocking horse and who's being a knight, I actually heard myself say, "Why doesn't *friend* be the knight and you can be the princess to be rescued since you're wearing a dress." *facepalm*

They abandoned that game about 30 seconds later.
