the amount of music that gets re-cycled by the big media companies is disgusting. they bitch and moan and whine about unlicensed sampling and how it's such a blight on "creativity" and how it impacts other (apparently more legitimate) artists' motivation to create. but then P Diddy puts new lyrics over "Every Breath You Take" by the Police and wins a grammy for it, and the LotR trailers use an orchestral arrangement of the Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet theme from Requiem for a Dream.
i could go on and on. re-cycling, sampling and re-using are apparently completely valid forms of creative expression, so long as everyone gets paid for it, but when i do it and lose money in the process, apparently i'm stealing from someone somewhere along the line.

They looked like tracers, they could go through windows, helicopter engine blocks & cars but not cheap interior doors etc. etc. etc.

did ALL of them look like tracers, or did they use enough bullets you couldn't see that the amount of tracers was justified?
