I love this. Something about the rhythm and the capitalization really reminds me of, like, 1700s informational pamphlets.

I know an extremely intelligent and obviously well-educated person who, mysteriously, capitalizes the words she thinks are important in a given context. Even if I sort of understand if I consider her perspective, it irritates me. She makes soaps and perfumes from essential oils and other natural ingredients, and capitalizes the names of her ingredients. She even does this in casual discussion, though, and it bothers me enough to see it in the shop's item descriptions. x_x

Aaaanyway~ Your coworker should have put a lot more thought into her email. I understand what she means, but it is written so sloppily. I'm not sure why anyone would think "hand-in-hand" can be written as "hand/hand". It seems like she in a huge hurry.

I'm glad some of you get it, at least somewhat! I'm still not sure what she's talking about with the "coming in from outside" bit.

It's probably relevant that I live in Texas, where it's currently in the 80s on most days, and this event is planned for outdoors.

Coming in from outside, where the meat will be cooked, I assume. The buffet or whatever will probably be on tables indoors. Just guessing based on similar events I have attended. XD
