A funny thing happened today. I turned on the PS3 and logged in to play a bit of Ratchet & Clank. Actually, Ratchet & Clank downloadable content. I recently finished Diana Wynne Jones's Hexwood, and was astonished by its format. When you think of young adult sci-fi/fantasy, you probably think of Harry Potter, right? I did too.

You know... I've heard a lot of Twilight fans styling themselves "nerds". I take issue with this. Twilight is one of those lowest common denominator sorts of things.
