Just talked to my sister and she's doing very well. She is still in pain, but very upbeat. She goes back to the doctor on Monday and again next Friday for dressing changes and consults. Yay!! Just talked to my sister, Jeanne, in hospital in Missouri. She's still groggy from painkillers, but the dr. has been in and changed the dressing. She had a total mastectomy on one side. Latest news: Leslie may get to come home without the PICC line! Doctor said if her blood work came back good, she could go without the PICC line - maybe Tuesday. If the blood work is not as good as doctor wants, then she might stay for another day or two so she can come home without it. OK. Leslie is still in the hospital. She blew the second IV last night or this morning. She has a new IV, but the nurses say that Radiology usually does not want to do a PIC line on weekends. That means Monday sometime and the doctor wants to keep her in hospital for 24 hours with the PIC line before she goes home. We're looking at probably ( Read more... )

Boy! It certainly was labor day--all weekend! All four of us worked our bums off this weekend, but Beckett has a relatively tidy house now. We started in on the fridge when Beckett was taking Amanda and Zoe to the airport on Thursday.
