So a few random thoughts to brighten everyone else's day.

I haven't figured out why yet, but for some odd reason, since I moved here not 2 days have past without me being asked by a stranger for directions. DrHibbert says we have crappy street signs, but I don't think thats enough to explain it.  Doesn't bother me really, but is a bit odd.  especially since ( Read more... )

I support a combination of Theories 1 and 2: You are one of about 1% of the population of that area that is not an ex-hippy, and thus give off an aura of not being perpetually lost. Such an aura may be experienced (especially on the part of ex-hippies) as a large green sign above your head that refers to your not-lost-ness.

You should totally purchase that Christmas Chtulu.

And yes, I want a peek.

If reading Joyce doesn't mess up my vibe, nothing will. Ship it my way.

As far as the crappy street signs in Berkeley are concerned, just try reading them at night while driving. Because try is about all you can do where most of them are concerned. Some are shadowed because the street lamps are behind them. Some are just not reflective. Still others are HIDDEN BEHIND THE FREAKING LAMP POST! If that doesn't qualify them as horrible street signs, I don't know what does.

Furthermore, grampablohm, you and I both know that you look like you know what you are doing most of the time, whether you do or not, and therefore you attract people who want to know :P

Also, I want a peek.
