The weather is playing havoc with my 'wanna-do!' I do have to bleach my hair, but other than that, I have no 'must do's. With all the rain we're to have, I KNOW next weekend I will ( Read more... )

You couldn't raise that spot a little, like a raised bed? And maybe plant something like hostas there?

That might be a possibility except that the water runoff from the yard washes all the dirt away in that area. Perhaps if I could raise it and plant something quickly, it might hold the soil there but until I get some more dirt in the low area behind it to channel the water back in the other direction again, that's a patway to defeat.

That is a mushy area. As you've said, the poorly located sewer drain can't be helpful at all. Have fun at Michael's!

Liz was in Michael's a while ago and got the idea I'd like to fool around making some 3-D cards. She got me the page with cards and press-outs, and a pack of those teeny tiny sticky things. Well, one side is sticky (for sticking to the press-out back) but how in blazes do you get the other side (up side) to stick to the main thing. I finally used a glue stick, did one, put it on a stiff backing, mailed it to her and wrote on the empty side that if she got any more bright ideas like this her entire inheritance would be left to a Home for Cats. I am NOT a crafty type, and I'll bet she busts herself laughing that I actually did one.
