1,800 turkeys died in Turkey of the Asian bird flu. Wouldn't have happened if they were allowed to join the EU.

The new Death Cab album is probably their most accessible and poppiest, better than Transatlanticism, in my opinion. Ben Gibbard doesn't whine as much, and returns to his hatecore roots by calling for the re-institution of slavery and the repatriation of slavs to Central Asia to till the valleys and spearhunt goats throughout the entire album.

The Onion had a makeover for the first time in the seven years since I've been reading it. Its archives are free again.

Yesterday, Carla and I ate lunch at the Cosmic Cafe on Oak Lawn in Dallas. I've never been before, but had always heard a lot of fuss about it.
