After 36 hours in the car we made it to Reno! We left Bardstown Sunday at about 2pm and drove straight across America stopping only for food, bathroom (for us and Maggie), gas, and once for an hour of sleep. It's been a few weeks since Nate and I headed to Santa Rosa for his grandmother's service, but I finally have time to post a few pictures from it. They aren't great.... but in my defense, I was in a daze the whole trip from lack of sleep.

Jenna has been visiting since Thursday night and it has been wonderfully refreshing.  I need my doses of Jenna. As an added bonus Veronica spent the night Friday and most of Saturday.  Many games of Pop 5 were played, much alcohol and coffee were consumed... much fun was had.  Including... taking some cool pictures so enjoy!

I just finished reading an article in Vanity Fair that has me questioning the line between fiction and fact. I haven't read Running with Scissors (nor do I plan to- first because everyone who I know who has read it, hated it and 2- I don't feel like reading about another person blaming everyone in their childhood for the person that they are today ( Read more... )

So as most of you probably know by now Nate and I got married. We decided that planning the wedding was turning into a complicated mess that really wasn't ours so we took matters into our own hands. I have the best boss ever-seriously. She sent me flowers after the car accident and today she gave me a hat and some gloves for Halloween. Oh and one of her students is a chiropractor and she's talking him into giving me really cheap sessions... awesome.... who knew some one from California could be so friendly ( Read more... )
