2011 Fic Meme
(stole this from
firequakes - who is a lovely writer, just sayin'.)
(yeah, um, I just needed something to procrastinate with.)
Total Word Count: about 20k.
Fandoms Written In: all them k-pop fandoms.
Favorite Fic: oh, well... I'm kind of partial to the first attempt at slash fic I ever wrote,
five ways to treat a sickness. I don't know, there's just something about this that just makes me so happy to have written it. maybe it's because it's infinite and maybe it's because I ship hojong with a passion. I mean, what.
Best Fic: uh... hm... oh, man, I'm going to have to answer
five ways to treat a sickness again - for the same reasons as listed above.
Most Popular Fic: well, based on individually posted comments, I'd answer
campus couple. however, if you're counting it based on exposure alone, I'd answer
cigarettes since (besides the comments posted on it) some people I know on tumblr got wind of it too.
Most Underappreciated Fic: uh, well, I don't have any fics that have only zero comments... but I do have a lot of one-shots/drabbles with only one comment, hahaha. /toolazytolist'emallout
Most Fun Fic: hahaha, I'm tempted to answer with my hojong fic again, but... I'm going to have to answer with my myungyeol drabble -
act i, scene vii - if only because it was fun to transform infinite into macbeth characters.
Sexiest Fic: uh, I don't think I've written a single fic that could be considered "sexy" at all, LOL. maybe
I go crazy because of you, but I'm not personally all too proud of my attempt at writing taecjung -_-;;
Fic That Shifted My Own Perceptions Of The Characters: hm... there was this one
drabble I wrote as part of this
trick or treat challenge-thing on tumblr... hojong is a big ship of mine, but after writing this, I kind of figured the interactions between yeoljong could be pretty cute too.
Fic I'm Most Proud Of:
cigarettes, because I'm not very good at writing sad!fic; I'm much more comfortable writing ridiculously fluffy and slightly-cliche fics. so this was a nice change of pace.
Biggest Disappointment:
prologue and
epilogue. I guess this is to be expected, since they were my first attempts at writing one-shots. still, I just. augh. I can't bear to read them. I'll probably return to those two one-shots in the future, just so that I can do better justice to khuntoria and yongseo Q___Q
Biggest Surprise:
past in present, because I didn't think I would be able to write it. It kind of wrote itself; when I first began writing, I didn't even have a clear ending in mind. I was surprised that it came out as adequate as it did. Although I'm satisfied, however, I still think that there are definitely some things I could have done differently and better.
Hardest Fic to Write: this one is a tie between
insanity and
thievery is a double-edged sword. insanity proved difficult, because I had no idea how to write it in a manner that would replicate the creepy feeling one would get while watching a horror movie. I still don't think I did that prompt justice, wah T__T and then, thievery is a double-edged sword was difficult to write, because I just had no clear idea how to get the main pairing together. it was originally supposed to be a long one-shot, but I erased everything after growing frustrated with the plot - and, well, now it's a short drabble with an ambiguous ending OTL
Fic I Want Remembered: if you remember any one of them for a positive reason (like it made you smile or laugh), then I'm good with that. if you remember any one of them for its terrible writing, then I'd just prefer it if you didn't remember any of my fics at all, hahaha!
Goals For Next Year: I have two. (1) write a one-shot that's over 5k words in length and (2) write a total word count of 30k. welp, I'll see how this goes.
Fic I Wrote In 2011: every fic posted in this journal was made in 2011, hahaha. so, I'll just subtly refer you to my masterlist
here. I actually got back into writing fics this year; I used to write waaay back when before suddenly stopping (if you're curious,
here's the kind of thing I used to write - my sense of humor is, well, laughable). and, after discovering certain k-pop fics over the summer, I decided to try my hand at writing again. whether that was a good decision or not, however, is still questionable XD
