Hello, Six. It's been a while.
And now the Dow has just punched down below 7,000, closing today at 6763.29.
The last time it was this low, I had a fiancee, The English Patient won Best Picture, Timothy McVeigh was on Death Row, and Princess Diana was still dodging paparazzi.
Ish.
Is it still OK to want to be an actuary, and get into the investing biz? -

We all know that often we're pushed into one of two camps, or answers, or teams. Yes or no. Good or bad. For or against.
Lately the kids have taken to sometimes offering up a third position:

And then sometimes, they will turn around and demonstrate said choice. -

The Dow Jones Industrial, which used to be in the 14,000s, is now about half that, closing on Friday at 7,365, and seems to be seeing if anybody dares it to go into 6k territory.
Sigh.
If I ever wished I was twenty again, the retirement portfolio seems to be reverting back to try to help me remember. -
