Last night, after a very long day at work and some self-generated social angst, I dreamed that I was being chased around by an axe murderer. There were other people trying to help me get him instead, but I was the only one he wanted to kill. I also learned (in my dream) that human beings can be pretty hard to kill if you're not the one with the ( Read more... )

I've dreamt I'm being chased by an axe (and other implement) murderer several times. Usually, I'm the final goal, but they kill people closer and closer (geographically) to me, so I hear about the murders and know that something creepy is happening before I realize he's in the area.

There are other people trying to help, but usually, they're inept, and sorta blame me for the whole mess. After all, I'm the main target: I must have done something wrong for him to be after me.

Luckily, knives and guns generally don't work on me in dreams. Unluckily, I know that if I die somehow anyway, I'm not really dead, and he'll just come after me again...and again...

And yes, people can be hard to kill in dreams. I had somebody chasing me in a recent dream, and I had to snap his neck so he's leave me alone. Not something I'd want to do to a real person...

And that's my dream.

Sorry about the anxiety dream. Yucky. I hate anxiety dreams. Usually I get space aliens or revolting students.

I recommend listening to something soothing next time you drift off to sleep. EArlier this week I listened to a CD of nature sounds as I fell asleep. I had these strange but happy dreams about things like camping with my dad (almost real) and moving a friend into Mommy club-Med (not real, but so should be; she deserves it). I also drempt I had a pet frog, and he died, but then he came back to life, so I happily renamed him Lazarus.
