This feels like a sad time of the year because all of a sudden you notice the darkness. It is dark when you leave in the morning and dark when you return. All the beautiful Christmas lights are gone from the outside of your neighbors houses. Christmas trees no longer highlight their windows or the businesses in the area. It is the let down after all the excitement associated with the holidays that is disguised as the winter blahs! When the daffodils bloom it seems like we do too! :->
Do you miss not having snow or do you prefer not having it?

In Illinois also it seems like each year we have les and less snow. I recall years ago we had times when we would get a foot or more of snow. Now we are lucky to have that cumulative for a season. I guess that is a result of global warming.

Spring is my second favorite season. My favorite season is fall, autumn. I wrote about that too. You can read it here.

I find that I currently have nothing to write about. Besides, I subscribe to what Mark Twain's once said, "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

Sadly enough, it was 7:30pm when the sun went down here. I already have the winter blahs, and the -40 celsius temperatures haven't hit yet. :/

I agree with you. It keeps getting darker earlier and earlier. That means that the cold weather and snow can't be far behind. If only we could keep moving south so that the sun never went down any earlier that the day before. Awe, if only. **smiles**

I love Christmas and also my birthday is in January, but I honestly hate winter, the darkness is indeed depressing.
