For a swap I'm in, I listed 50 things I learned from life:

1. I like making bright swirly colored Easter eggs; I made one that looked like a cowboy wearing a hat, riding his horse through a canyon.
2. I like Little Golden Books, my Mom brought me one every payday.

Service, the exception that proves the rule.
For the last few months I have felt that service (restaurants and retail) has been better, seemed to me that with the down turn, businesses were tutoring their employee's to be a bit more attentive and pleasant. Then Fri evening this happened ( Read more... ) -

Somewhere in the Tenacious terrorizer of vermin terrorist, I guess I didn't really get it. Today I let the pair out back and proceeded to put away groceries. Barking, lots of barking, with a purpose. What do you see today?
The biggest perk covering Shipping and receiving is the huge windows overlooking Cherry Creek State Park. I can see a Prairie Dog Town of maybe 5 acres. Great Blue Heron glide in to a little creek leading to a wetlands at least once every day or so. Also, I can see the dam and a little slice of the water, gray today, to match the overcast sky. Thanksgiving
We will have 10 or 12 people and 4 to 6 dogs over for Thanksgiving. I keep remembering that scene in "A Christmas Story" when the Bupkus dogs raid the kitchen and take the turkey off the table. volunteer
I got a call tonight and I'm volunteering to make phone calls on Monday evening. For Obama, in case you didn't know. I'm looking forward to saying I helped get out the vote. I would love to take off Tuesday and take people to the polls, but probably not going to happen. It is an exciting time. I think there will be other opportunities in an Obama ( Read more... ) -
