Title: Kamen //Can you look right through me?// - Another Feeling -
Pairing: Akanishi Jin x Kazuya Kamenashi //Akame//
Genre: Romance. Angst, Fluff
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters in this story. I don't make profit with this.
Summary: Feelings are like masks we put on to convey our inner depth. But sometimes it turns out we use those masks to hide our real feelings... How well can Jin read Kazuya's feelings; and in return, how much does Kazuya really understand Jin? After being together for so long, things start to change, and feelings start to disappear behind masks...
A/N: English isn't my mother tongue, but I've been living in the UK for quite a time, so I basically write and speak well. You're welcome to correct any mistakes, though. Of course.
Okay, so here it is. The sequel to Kamen.
I debatted whether I should write this or not for a while, actually. Since the announcement for YamaNade came at the end of November, it didn't actually fit the storyline of the fanfiction. End of November was sometime during chapter 7?
So, I decided I would make use of my right as a writer of Fanfiction and say: In this, the announcement for the drama comes in early January, shortly after Kazuya and Jin have made up.
So, how is Jin going to take it that Kazuya and Uchi will work together...? And how will Kazuya handle being together with Uchi that much? Is Uchi still up to something?
Have fun reading and enjoy the drama :)
AN#2: I parted this into two halfs.
naomi0211 still needs to beta the second half before I'll post it up, but it shouldn't take too long anymore :)
AN#3: I guess you need to have read
the multichap to this to understand the storyline of this Oneshot.
Okay, sorry, I'll let you read now m(_ _)m
Another Feeling
Kazuya winced as he heard the door being slammed.
He knew it could only have been Jin. Firstly, because no one else would come like this into his apartment, and secondly, because he only knew Jin who slammed doors when he was mad.
Biting his lip, Kazuya set down the heat of the stove and turned around, putting on a calm face.
He knew exactly what this was about.
It had been not even two weeks, since he had given Jin the key to his apartment back; still on the same day they had made up completely, had settled down, and sorted things out between them.
Since then, they had been fine; Jin had been quite caring, loving; but still as Kazuya had always known him. Putting on a cool mask, not letting anyone see how much he actually cared, how dear he held Kazuya.
Sometimes, Kazuya would tease him, since he had seen Jin putting off that mask completely. He had seen Jin getting completely weak- in that moment, he had thought he’d lost Kazuya for all times.
It had been Kazuya’s trump since then; and he knew to use it quite well.
But right now, there was nothing that could save him from Jin’s anger. He knew he should have said it earlier, but he had also known Jin would get as mad as he was now.
As Jin rushed into the kitchen, Kazuya put on a smile.
“You’re early.”
Jin narrowed his eyes at him. “You didn’t think it was necessary to tell me?”
Kazuya pretended a confused look. “What do you mean?”
Faster than Kazuya had predicted, Jin was in front of him, gripping his arm tightly. “Don’t you dare pretending you didn’t know.”
Kazuya sharply inhaled. “Jin, that hurts.”
“As if. Don’t try to make me think you were still in pain with that arm”, Jin said, but let go, though.
He wasn’t, and Kazuya made the mental note to remind Jin that he had actually been the one who had just said this morning that Kazuya still had to be careful with his right arm. After all, he had just gotten rid of the sling a few days ago.
“Okay, fine”, Kazuya said, sighing, as he leaned against the stove. “I am sorry.”
“You’re sorry?” Jin put his hands to either side of Kazuya’s hips. “Didn’t you think this was a bit too important to let me getting to know it through the papers?”
Changing his mind, Kazuya tried a sweet face now. “We have talked this out, haven’t we? There’s no need to worry, Jin.” He raised his hands, framed the older one’s face.
“No need to worry?” Jin didn’t pull away. He leaned in closer. “You’re going to spend the next months with the man you cheated on me.”
“Don’t say it like that…”
“It was like that, Kazuya.”
Kazuya just pulled Jin’s face down, taking a kiss from him. “You haven’t properly said Hello yet, Jin.”
Unable to reject Kazuya, Jin gave in and kissed him back. “Don’t try to distract me.”
Kazuya ran his tongue over Jin’s lip. “It works well, doesn’t it?”
“Kazuya”, Jin groaned, took hold of his lover’s waist and pulled him closer; pushing him against the stove at the same time. “I don’t want you to do that.”
Kazuya managed to laugh into their kiss. “I seduced you uncountable times, Jin; even if you don’t want me to, I will just…”
Jin pulled back. “I don’t want you to work with Uchi.”
Kazuya titled his head back, let go of a frustrated moan. “I knew you’d say that.”
“Of course I would”, Jin answered and took the chance to attack his lover’s exposed neck with his lips.
Kazuya didn’t answer for a while, just closed his eyes and gave Jin his head. He rested his arms on Jin’s shoulders, crossed them behind his neck, before he moved his head back forwards and placed a kiss to Jin’s forehead.
“I can’t possibly back out of that.”
“I hate the thought of letting you stay with him, while I am not around.”
Kazuya smiled. “Don’t be that possessive.”
Stepping back, Jin looked at him again. “Right, that’s your part, after all.”
Not commenting on that, Kazuya went ahead through the kitchen over to his living room. As he came through the corridor, he saw the silver key to his apartment lying on a table; the red and pink charm attached to it.
“Listen, Jin. There’s really no need to worry.” He made himself comfortable at the couch, waiting for Jin to join him. “You’ll be busy with your band from this weekend on, won’t you?”
Jin came over, leaned over the backrest of the couch. “That doesn’t mean I won’t be able to think of you.”
Kazuya gave him a smile. “Then don’t waste your thoughts with worrying about me.”
“I will imagine the two of you being all over each other all the time.”
Kazuya gave him an indignant look. “Didn’t you say you’d trust me?”
Jin sighed, as he looked at Kazuya, placing his chin to his folded arms at the backrest. “I don’t trust Uchi.”
Kazuya turned to Jin, hugging one of the cushions. “It’s important what I do, isn’t it?”
Jin reached out one hand, brushed Kazuya’s bangs from his forehead and caught a glimpse at the almost faded bruise. “I don’t want him to even just look at you.”
Smiling, Kazuya took Jin’s hand and placed a kiss to his palm. “I won’t give you any reason to doubt me, okay?”
Jin watched him for a moment; then he moved, got around the couch and sat next to Kazuya. “Make sure, the brat will always sit between the two of you.”
The younger one managed a laugh. “Seriously, Jin, don’t always call Tego that.”
“Tego?” Jin frowned at him. “Since when did you become that familiar with him?”
“We get along quite well….”
“Oh God.” The older one palmed his face. “You’re up for the younger ones, aren’t you?”
Laughing, Kazuya leaned back, looking up at the ceiling. “Just because I get along with Tego; really, Jin.”
He looked at Kazuya and slightly smiled. “I will tell him myself to keep an eye on you and Uchi.”
Kazuya’s laughing increased. “I want to see how you ask Tegoshi a favour.”
Jin leaned back, as well. “You’ll see; I’m going to do that.”
Kazuya titled his head, giving Jin a look. “You really don’t have to be that afraid.”
“I simply dislike the thought, Kazuya.”
Nodding, Kazuya shifted closer, leaned against Jin. “I’m sorry. I know you said you wouldn’t forget, but let me show you that it was a mistake.”
Rubbing his hand over his forehead, Jin refused to give in too soon, so he kept his hands off of Kazuya. “You already showed me you regret it.”
“That it won’t happen again, then.”
Jin felt Kazuya nuzzling closer. “You’re trying to distract me again.”
Smiling, the younger one placed his hand over Jin’s chest. “Does it work?”
Shifting to put his arm around Kazuya, Jin gave in, eventually. “As always.” Then he took Kazuya’s hand, laced their fingers. “You know what’ll happen, if you do it again.”
Kazuya didn’t answer for a while; then he lifted his head, moved to straddle Jin and framed his face again, giving him a serious look. His eyes looked determined, but Jin thought he could also see Kazuya was hurting from his lack of trust.
“Stop it, Jin. I said, it won’t”, he said and leaned in to kiss Jin desperately. He kept his eyes open, holing up to Jin’s look, until he could see his lover’s eyes darken, getting hazy from his treatment.
“I’d never do the same mistake twice.”
Kazuya jumped slightly, as someone came from behind and hugged his shoulders over the backrest of the couch he was sitting on. He turned his head and saw Tegoshi stepping back again, smiling widely.
They would record scenes for the drama today; the first time they’d all shoot together and Kazuya felt slightly uncomfortable of seeing Uchi again.
He hadn’t met him since that day Uchi had come to his apartment and Jin had found them.
“Tego”, he said and smiled back.
“Sorry”, the younger one answered, as he leaned in again. “But I am really happy to work with you again.”
“I’m happy, too.”
Tegoshi smiled happily and turned his head, as the door opened and Uchi stepped in. “Uchi-kun, good morning.”
The older one smiled. “Good morning, Tegoshi-kun. Kame”, he greeted then with a nod.
Swallowing, Kazuya returned the nod, but didn’t manage to make his voice sound.
It fell silent and they both avoided even looking at each other; Tegoshi giving them confused looks.
“Are you two okay?”
Kazuya gave Tegoshi a look, forcing a smile. “Why shouldn’t we be?”
Shrugging his shoulders, the youngest one leaned back. “You’re just… not as usual.”
Uchi came over and gave Tegoshi’s head a slight pat. “I haven’t been in the room for a minute, Tegonyan.”
Tegoshi pretended a pout; he felt as if he hadn’t been called like that in ages. “Hey, that’s Ryotan’s!”
They both giggled and Kazuya titled his head back, closing his eyes, as they started to talk about old times. It was something he couldn’t quite participate in, so he figured it was best to use the time taking some rest.
They flew open again, when someone touched his shoulder; afraid it could be Uchi. But Tegoshi was still sitting next to him; his hand lightly on Kazuya’s shoulder, his eyes giving him an understanding look.
“Sorry, Kame”, he said. “We didn’t mean to make you feel lonely.”
Confused, Kazuya shook his head. He couldn’t calm down at all; he was always afraid Uchi could get too close. Afraid, something could happen; something he wouldn’t be able to explain, or that would make Jin upset.
Uchi’s eyes observed him and Kazuya avoided looking at him with all his might. It strangely felt as if he was betraying Jin by even just simply being in the same room as Uchi.
When they were called to the set, Kazuya was the one to move ahead, concentrating on talking to Tegoshi or anyone else participating; just not Uchi.
“Ne, Uchi-kun”, Tegoshi said, as he was alone with the older one; watching Kazuya acting out a scene they would join in later. “Is Kame mad at you?”
Uchi gave him a look and tightened his coat, feeling cold. “Why?”
“He’s not talking to you”, Tegoshi answered. “And I thought you two were going along well.”
“We do”, Uchi said and looked at Kazuya. “We have a lot in common, actually.”
“I thought so. But he’s completely ignoring you.”
Uchi just nodded.
“You should probably talk to him”, Tegoshi suggested. “I’ll go ahead later and will distract Miyao, so you can stay here outside alone.”
Uchi gave him a smile. “You’re a good boy, Tegoshi.” He patted his younger colleague’s head.
He got a grin as an answer and knew he soon would get to find again that Tegoshi wasn’t always as nice as this.
When they had wrapped up all filming for the day, they went back to the backstage rooms, removing all make-up and getting changed.
Uchi looked at Tegoshi shortly, when Kazuya bid his goodbye and left the room. Tegoshi have him a thumb up and stayed in the room; alone, since Miyao had left already.
He grinned, as Uchi hurried after Kazuya and then noticed a mobile on the floor. Frowning, he picked it up and saw it flashed a symbol for missed calls.
Tegoshi recognized it as Kazuya’s and put it aside. He shouldn’t disturb those two now, so he would just give it to Kazuya later. So, he first got changed completely, checked his own mobile and made a call to a friend, before he gripped Kazuya’s mobile again and went to the door.
Then he stopped and his facial expression changed, as he got an idea. He opened his bag and got out a magazine.
Looking at the stickers inside, he tried to figure which Hey Say Jump member would suit Kazuya’s mobile most and had just decided on Morimoto, when suddenly the mobile started to ring.
Tegoshi jumped in surprise; then he checked the display and saw it flashing a simple Jin Home.
He debated whether he should or shouldn’t pick up, before he finally pressed the green button.
“Akanishi-san”, he answered politely.
“Who’s that?”, Jin asked from the other side of the line.
“Tegoshi.”
“Why the hell are you picking up Kamenashi’s mobile?”
“Kame is not available at the moment”, Tegoshi just answered.
“Are you guys still shooting?”, Jin wanted to know.
“No, we’re done for today. Kame is busy with Uchi.”
It remained silent for a while. “What does that mean?”
“They’re outside; alone. And I should not disturb.”
“Tegoshi”, Jin said slowly. “Pass me to Kazuya. Now.”
The younger one frowned at the phone. “I just told you I can’t, didn’t I?”
“I promise you’re going to regret it, if you won’t go out now and tell Kazuya that I need to talk to him.”
Tegoshi raised a brow. It was amazing, how that jerk thought he was the centre of the world and everyone would just do what he wanted them to. But still, with a sigh, Tegoshi gave in. “Okay, okay. Then we just destroy their moment of reunion.”
Jin had to hold back to not snap at the younger boy. “Hurry up a bit, brat”, he said, though.
Kazuya sighed, when he left the building and buried his hands in the pockets of his jacket to keep them from getting cold.
As he noticed, his mobile was not in them, he frowned and turned to get it; but nearly bumped into Uchi.
He instantly took a step back.
“Really, Kazuya, stop that.”
Blinking at Uchi, Kazuya titled his head. “What?”
“You keep avoiding me”, Uchi answered and folded his arms. “And you look like I was going to bite you or something.”
Kazuya shook his head. “Sorry.”
“Then be normal.”
“I guess that’s not that easy”, the brunette answered. “I keep remembering.”
“Is the memory that unpleasant?” Uchi looked hurt.
A cold wind messed up Kazuya’s hair and he lowered his gaze. “It’s not that. I like you, but I don’t want you to get me wrong or want anything else than being a friend. Jin…”
“So, you’re with him again?”
Kazuya nodded. “What I did was wrong, Uchi. As I said, I believed in the wrong things and it was weak to do what I’ve done to you.”
“Is that what you think or what Akanishi thinks?”, Uchi wanted to know.
“It’s what we think”, Kazuya answered firmly.
“And that you can’t even look at me anymore? Is that because of you or because of him?”
Kazuya bit his lip, as he looked down. “It’s because of Jin”, he said then. “It’s because it reminds me of what I did to him.”
Uchi shook his head. “You two are really at it, huh?”
Kazuya shrugged a shoulder. “I am sorry for what I did. This is just work; so don’t ask for a personal level for us.”
“Akanishi wouldn’t like it if we got along well.” It was more of a conclusion than a question.
“Kame!”
They both looked up, when Tegoshi approached them from the door. He bowed his head to them. “Sorry to disturb you guys. I’m…” He held up Kazuya’s mobile. “You forgot this and Akanishi-kun called and he said he really needs to talk to you.”
Jin, Kazuya thought and his heartbeat fastened up. As if he had known when to call once again. Kazuya forced a smile. “Thanks.”
Reassured, Tegoshi smiled back, before he gave Uchi a questioning look, as Kazuya turned away.
“Jin”, he said.
“This doesn’t start off well, Kazuya”, Jin said in a low voice.
“It’s not like…”
“First that brat answers your phone; then he tells me you were alone with Uchi and asked to not be disturbed and now guess what that did to me?”
Kazuya sighed. “Calm down; you’re getting it wrong.”
“Is he with you right now?”
“Jin, stop it now; I told you there’s nothing to worry about”, Kazuya said and looked back; seeing Tegoshi had left and Uchi was still there; apparently waiting for him. “We just talked. Tegoshi doesn’t need to know what’s going on, does he?”
Jin kept silent for a moment. “Nothing happened?”
Frustrated, Kazuya closed his eyes. “What is this? A controlling call?”
“I just…”
“Call me when it’s really important. This is giving me the feeling you want to control me.”
Jin’s voice got soft. “I am just worried.”
“And I said there was nothing to worry about. I just ask you to trust me, Jin.” Kazuya bit his lip; saw Uchi looking back at him. “Don’t give me the feeling I’d do something awful to you by just being here.”
“That’s not it, Kazuya”, Jin said and the younger one knew, without seeing him that he was giving in. “I really was just worrying for you.”
“I can take care of myself.”
Again, silence on the other end. “I know.”
Kazuya calmed down, managed a smile. “Hey, Jin.”
“Hm?” Jin’s voice was still low and soft. “What is it?”
“I love you, okay?”
Kazuya knew he smiled; he could hear it in Jin’s voice. “I know that, too.”
“Then don’t always pretend you’d forgotten it.”
“I love you, too”, Jin answered. “So don’t always pretend I had no right to be jealous.”
Kazuya laughed and felt a lot lighter. “I’ll see you sometime soon.”
“Take care.”
Cutting the connection, Kazuya turned and saw Uchi still waiting for him. He walked over with a much lighter feeling, giving Uchi an honest smile.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, Uchi-kun. Good night.”
The younger one didn’t try to approach Kazuya again, but he watched him until he couldn’t see him anymore in the darkness of the cold winter night.
Sometime soon happened to be more than a week later.
Jin opened the door to their band room and as he saw Kazuya sitting at the table, he felt something rush through his body that he couldn’t quite describe; but tell that it was something positive.
When Kazuya turned his head and spotted Jin, it brought a smile to his lips and Jin went over to sit beside Kazuya.
Koki and Taguchi were also there; discussing something alone now, since Kazuya’s attention had definitely moved to Jin.
“I haven’t seen you in a while.”
Kazuya nodded. “Almost two weeks.”
Jin leaned in closer, careful no one would hear. “Too long.”
Smiling, Kazuya shook his head. “You keep calling me so often.”
“That’s not the same”, Jin answered and stretched. “So, how is it going?”
“Still the same. It’s fun.” The younger one looked at the table. “Nothing to worry about.”
Jin nodded. “I thought so. Otherwise you would have come to see me already.”
Kazuya grinned. “Don’t be too sure.”
Not answering to that, Jin’s attention was caught by Ueda and Nakamaru who came into the room then and sat down across from them at the table.
“Kame, how are you doing?” Nakamaru tipped at his own forehead with his fingers. “How are your injuries?”
Kazuya laughed. “Long gone.”
“You should have taken a longer break.” Taguchi sat down next to Kazuya.
With a look to Jin, the youngest one shook his head. “That day was enough. I relaxed a lot.”
“One day surely isn’t enough to recover”, Koki pointed out as he sat next to Ueda. “But we all know you just can’t keep away from work.”
“I’m doing well, aren’t I?”
They dropped the topic when some of the managers came in to talk with them. Throughout the talk they had, Kazuya glanced at Jin every once in a while; noticing the older one sat closer than he usually did.
So, after they were done, he held Jin back from leaving the room for a moment and waited until they were alone again.
“I’m sorry I’m not around as much anymore”, Kazuya said, still holding Jin’s hand.
Jin shook his head. “No, it’s fine; you’re busy.”
“Can I come around tonight after the shooting is over?”
Jin laughed and poked Kazuya’s cheek with a finger. “Don’t ask; you know you can come whenever you want.”
Kazuya smiled and nodded. “Okay, I’ll see you tonight then?”
“See you tonight”, Jin agreed and stayed in the room as he watched Kazuya leaving.
He was still worried, but tried to hide it the best he could from Kazuya. Of course, Jin felt uncomfortable knowing his boyfriend was spending more time with the one he had cheated on Jin recently.
He had trust in Kazuya; knew he wouldn’t betray Jin like that ever again; but Jin didn’t have trust in Uchi.
Jin kept remembering that evening he had met Uchi last; remembered how the younger one had asked him for Kazuya’s number; how he had found Uchi in Kazuya’s apartment that night.
Uchi surely didn’t just saw Kazuya as a friend and that worried Jin; he didn’t want Uchi to try anything that would destroy what Jin and Kazuya had build through realizing how much they meant to each other.
When he came home that night, he had already completely forgotten about it again. His mind had been busy over other things and he was just tired.
He had met up with friends spontaneously and had gone out with them.
Only now, that he opened his door and saw Kazuya’s shoes and his key in the lock of the door, he remembered that Kazuya had wanted to see him.
Stumbling in, he kicked off his shoes and made his way to his bedroom, finding Kazuya curled up in his bed.
Jin rubbed a hand over his hair and went over then to sit next to Kazuya. “Hey”, he murmured and brushed hair out of Kazuya’s face. “I am sorry I’m late.”
“I haven’t been here for long”, Kazuya answered sleepily, without opening his eyes.
Jin smiled and leaned in to place a kiss to the younger one’s forehead. “Go to sleep.”
“Won’t you join me?”
“In a while”, Jin answered and got up again to get ready for bed.
As he came back to the bedroom, changed into a shirt and shorts, he saw Kazuya was still awake. He crawled beneath the blanket and looped an arm around Kazuya’s waist to pull him close.
“It’s good to have you here again”, Jin said. He had thought about telling Kazuya this for all the while he’d been in the bathroom, but he had figured, that being honest with what he felt was probably best to reassure Kazuya to stay with him.
He couldn’t quite tell why, and he’d never let Kazuya know, but Jin somehow feared Kazuya could choose Uchi over him.
“Hm”, Kazuya answered and didn’t notice Jin’s confused expression, as he had closed his eyes and put his head to Jin’s shoulder. “It’s good to be here.”
Jin figured Kazuya was tired; so he kept quiet and just ran his hand through Kazuya’s hair, lulling him into sleep with it.
He lay awake for a little, stared to the ceiling and held Kazuya close, felt his steady and constant breath.
From time to time, he tilted his head to make out the features of Kazuya’s face in the darkness and before he shifted to his side and pulled Kazuya into an embrace, he placed a kiss to the younger one’s lips; smiling as he noticed Kazuya not just nuzzled into his arms automatically, but also returned the kiss--- lagged, but he reacted to it in his sleep.
When Jin woke up in the morning, the bed was empty next to him; he was curled up beneath the warm blanket on the side Kazuya usually claimed.
The apartment was still; the silence only broken by the sound of his alarm.
Kazuya was gone again.
Kazuya smiled to himself as he got into the studios.
He had just slept for about three hours and was extremely tired. From Jin’s place it almost took him an hour to get here, but he had decided that it had been time for them to be together again. Even if it once again just was sleeping next to each other; they both needed that.
And, Kazuya had to admit, he felt much better that day than the ones before. Seeing Jin shifting to the warm spot Kazuya had left in his bed had made him smile, and neither that image nor that feeling had left his mind yet.
“Good Morning, Kame”, Tegoshi greeted him, as he came from the mask to the set of the drama.
He greeted all of them a Good Morning and noticed Uchi was not around. Kazuya decided to ignore the fact that it worried him and just behaved as usual.
He forced his mind onto work, but it didn’t take long until he felt tired again. Yawning, he made his way back to the rest room, as they had a lunch break.
When he came into the room, he saw Tegoshi curled up on one of the sofas and frowned. The younger one had been done with filming a scene before Kazuya, but they’d go on filming together in the afternoon. Apparently, Tegoshi had had the same idea as Kazuya--- to use the time taking a nap.
Kazuya smiled; noticing Tegoshi looked quite angelic in his sleep.
Closing the door as quiet as possible, Kazuya sneaked into the room and to the other couch, resting himself comfortably onto it. He curled up as well and sighed slightly, as he closed his eyes.
Through all the years, they had learned to sleep in every situation, but this was actually quite comfortable. He had a couch, a soft cushion to rest his head on and it was quiet.
The thought that he was lucky Tegoshi was not one of the snoring persons briefly crossed Kazuya’s mind, as he drifted into sleep.
And into a strange dream.
He was home and lying on his sofa there, staring at the ceiling. The room was warm, it was raining outside and Jin was sitting at the floor, next to the couch. His cheek was resting next to Kazuya’s chest and the younger one shifted to his side, ran his hand over Jin’s hair.
He felt safe and secure, calm and sleepy. It was a relaxed situation and Kazuya enjoyed the silence of just wasting time lying there.
Jin suddenly got up and left the room, but Kazuya just smiled, didn’t ask for why he would leave. Instead, he just closed his eyes and curled up, made himself more comfortable. In his dream, he was pretty sure that Jin would come back sooner or later.
He would just take a nap until then.
As he rolled around in his sleep fitfully, he almost fell off of the couch and his eyes flew open; he made a surprised noise, but he didn’t fell. Kazuya saw Jin, knew it was Jin, holding his arms and shoving him back to the couch.
He released the breath he had held, and smiled at Jin then. “Thanks”, Kazuya murmured.
Jin smiled back, sat down at the edge of the couch and leaned in to brush a gentle kiss over Kazuya’s cheek.
The younger one frowned.
It felt different; not as Jin usually kissed his cheek. His lips weren’t as soft as usual; his touch colder.
But Kazuya didn’t protest; he just closed his eyes again and let Jin go on and noticed those lips coming down to his jaw, making their way to his lips.
Kazuya opened them in a sigh, as Jin’s lips met his. But in the moment they touched, in the very moment he started to return the kiss he knew something was odd--- something about that was not Jin.
Kazuya’s eyes flew open and he sat up, pushing the person kissing him away.
With his breath going fast, he covered his mouth and stared at Uchi, sitting at the edge of the couch, watching him with calm eyes.
Kazuya took a distance between them, shifted to the end of the couch. “What the hell?”
Uchi just shook his head slightly.
“What the hell did you think you were doing?” Kazuya saw Tegoshi at the other end of the room, still curled up and sleeping. He lowered his voice. “Are you insane?”
Shrugging a shoulder, Uchi got back to his feet. “I had to do it.”
Lost for words, Kazuya stared at him. “You can’t just randomly kiss people.”
“It was not randomly.” Uchi blushed and looked away. “When I saw you there, sleeping, I just couldn’t resist.”
“I was sleeping--- I never permitted you to kiss me”, Kazuya spit at him and rubbed his palm over his mouth. “Damn.”
“I can’t even say I am sorry.”
Looking up again, Kazuya gave him an indignant look. “Why didn’t you just kiss Tegoshi instead?”
Uchi laughed slightly and looked at the sleeping boy at the other corner of the room. “Why would I?”
“I don’t know”, Kazuya answered. “Why me? Look at him; Tegoshi’s cute when sleeping.”
They both turned their heads when they heard the slight moan. Tegoshi sat up at his couch, rubbing his eyes with one hand and yawning. He gave them a sleepy look.
“What are you doing there?”
Uchi took a trembling breath. “Sorry; we didn’t mean to wake you up.”
Shaking his head, Tegoshi got up and put on his shoes again. “No, it’s fine. I need to make a call, anyway.”
Kazuya didn’t look at him; he just remained staring at the cushions of the sofa, until Tegoshi had left the room.
“He probably is cute; I don’t know”, Uchi said then, as they were alone. “But I still like you, Kazuya.”
Kazuya gnawed his teeth. “I told you not to call me that.”
“Kazuya, Kazuya, Kazuya”, Uchi repeated stubbornly and got an angry look for that. “I don’t care if you think it was Jin’s privilege.”
Kazuya stood up now. “You’re completely insane, Uchi. Stop that shit.”
Uchi gave him a calm smile. “You kissed me back, Kazuya.”
“I was sleeping; I can’t control what I am doing then.”
“You returned the kiss; you liked it.”
Kazuya growled, remembered how he had a said those arguments not too long ago to Jin. “I pushed you away.”
“After you returned it.”
“Stop that now”, Kazuya yelled at him and made a step closer. “Don’t you ever dare doing something like this again.”
“When you clearly reject me someday; then I’ll stop”, Uchi answered; that smile still plastered to his face.
Kazuya gave him an enraged look. “What is this about? I made it clear that I don’t have interests of that kind in you, didn’t I?”
Uchi nodded. “And I made it clear that I do have interests of that kind in you. And that I am of the opinion that Akanishi is not worthy of you.”
Kazuya just shook his head. “I never gave you any reason to be as persistent as this.”
“You kissed me first, didn’t you?”
“But I also said that it was a mistake”, the older one answered.
“I still think somewhere deep inside of you, you actually know you’re not happy as it is now.”
“You don’t even know me, Uchi; how do you get those ideas?”
Uchi smiled. “I guess I’ve gotten to know you well enough. We’re similar, Kazuya. I think I really do understand you.”
Kazuya swallowed thickly, gulped down the anxious feeling crawling up his throat. “Then you should see that what you’re doing is ridiculous.”
“No, you just need a gentle push into the right direction.” Uchi stepped closer and took Kazuya’s wrist.
Staring at him, Kazuya shook his head just once again. “Why won’t you listen?”
Smiling, Uchi stepped back, as if he had known that in the next moment, the door would crash open and Tegoshi would come back in.
He was all excited; Miyao following him. “Kame, Uchi, we’re starting again in ten minutes; everyone’s waiting for you at the set.”
As if nothing had happened, Uchi turned to him and smiled. “Ah, sorry. We completely forgot the time. Let’s go then.”
Tegoshi nodded and dragged Uchi out of the room by gripping his arm.
“Are you coming, too?”, Miyao asked and gave Kazuya a look.
“Ah, yeah. I’m just quickly going to the bathroom first.”
“Okay, see you later then.”
Kazuya waited until the older one was gone, then he fell back to the couch and pulled out his mobile from his pocket. He pressed the quick dial for Jin’s number and swallowed, licked his lips nervously.
“Yo, Kazuya”, Jin answered the call. “What’s the matter?”
Kazuya tried to make his voice sound, but he couldn’t. Fumbling with the mobile phone, he hung up and put it to the floor, closing his eyes.
He couldn’t tell Jin.
If he’d find out, he’d get mad. Just as he had gotten mad last time. He would get mad; he would scream at Kazuya. He wouldn’t forgive him another time.
Uchi was right--- Kazuya had kissed him back first. But not consciously, though. It had been forced and Kazuya hadn’t processed what had been happening. After all, he had thought he was kissing Jin.
But he was sure Jin wouldn’t understand, wouldn’t even listen.
He had kissed Uchi once again, and Uchi was still trying to get through to Kazuya.
Jin wouldn’t like that at all.
Kazuya knew that keeping it as a secret was the worst solution, but he couldn’t tell Jin, either. Sitting up, he decided that Jin couldn’t blame him, if they wouldn’t meet. If he didn’t have the chance to talk with Jin, he couldn’t possibly tell him, could he?
Kazuya palmed his face and sighed; knowing he just did a huge mistake again.
His mobile started ringing again; flashed Jin’s name on the display.
Kazuya swallowed thickly and pressed the red button; cutting off Jin’s call. It didn’t take five seconds until it started ringing again and Kazuya repeated the move.
He got up and left the room, forcing himself to not turn and answer his phone, as he heard it ringing again.
Kazuya knew he was running away; but at the moment running away was the easiest for him.

So... How is Jin going to find that? Not amusing, most likely....
