Tegoshi smiled, as he heard Kazuya talk on the phone.

Uchi was giving him strange looks and Tegoshi tilted his head, curious as where those would come from.

“Whom is Kame talking to?”

Uchi shrugged a shoulder. “That’s none of our business.”

“I wonder if he has a date for tonight”, Tegoshi murmured.

“Why should he?” Uchi looked at the younger one now. “I mean, we’re working the whole day, and I bet you won’t go on a date after this, will you?”

Tegoshi thought about Masuda; that he really wanted to see him, but most likely wouldn’t make it. He’d go to his place instead and sleep off the stress; in the morning his mother awaited him to come home and spend some time with them.

Not much time was left for Masuda in between; Tegoshi didn’t know when exactly to get to see him.

“But don’t you think his expression is so very… loving and gentle?”

Uchi gave him an annoyed look. “Really, Tegoshi, you have some strange sides.”

Chuckling, Tegoshi turned his head, as Kazuya came back over to them, the phone still at his ear.

“Yeah, sure”, Kazuya said and laughed slightly. “I’ll see you. Take care, Jin.”

Tegoshi pouted his lips, as he found, who Kazuya had been talking to. He blinked at him in confusion. “I thought you were talking to your date for tonight.”

Kazuya gave him a confused look. “What?”

“The way you looked….” Tegoshi shrugged his shoulders. “I got the impression it was your date for tonight.”

Uchi slapped his head from behind and Tegoshi turned to him, running his hand over the back of his head. “He was talking to Akanishi; of course they wouldn’t date.”

Tegoshi pouted. “I’m sorry. I was just saying…”

Kazuya laughed and patted Tegoshi’s shoulder, and as Uchi turned, he leaned in and winked at the younger one. “Are you going to meet Masuda-kun tonight?”

Tegoshi’s eyes widened. Were they that obvious? He managed to shake his head. “No…”

Kazuya gave him a pitiful look. “I won’t have a date, as well.”

“Who’s saying I’m dating Massu?”

Kazuya laughed and rose again, stepping away. “Oh… I just got the impression.”

Tegoshi couldn’t hold back a grin, as he turned away to pick up his phone. He opened the message that had just come in.

It showed a soccer ball in quite some similar surrounding with a Christmas head. Tegoshi chuckled and scrolled down to read the message below the picture.

It’s looking for a nice person who knows to kick it.

Laughing, Tegoshi closed the message and shook his head. Masuda was hopeless. It was typically him to send messages like that.

When they had gotten up this morning, Masuda had said some really stupid things. He had made Tegoshi get mad at him again, with his stupid assumptions, but after all, he had used his brain and they were fine again.

Tegoshi shook his head over the thought.

“It’s probably good we don’t get to spend Christmas together”, Masuda had said to him, as Tegoshi had gotten dressed.

“Good?”

“We stick together a bit too much, don’t you think?”

Tegoshi had given him an indignant look. “You’re happy to get rid of me?”

“I didn’t say that”, Masuda had panicked immediately.

“Then what do you actually want to say?”

Masuda had blushed, what had confused Tegoshi even more. “It’s difficult to fall asleep when you’re not around.”

Staring, the younger one had stood in his place, not knowing what to say.

“I feel like I am a bit too depending on you.” Masuda lowered his head, trying to hide his embarrassment from Tegoshi. “We should probably step back a bit.”

Tegoshi smiled now at the memory of Masuda’s confused look, as Tegoshi had climbed his lap, had kissed him gently.

A simple “That won’t happen, since I love you too much” had shoved that problem out of the world and with that they had silently agreed on going on as usual.

Tegoshi had almost been too late again. But he had held back this time, had not given in to his own and Masuda’s desires.

As soon as he could, Tegoshi thought, he would make up for it. And Masuda had bought him a new soccer ball; he deserved a reward even more now.

Later that day, when Tegoshi checked his mobile again, he had another message, this time with a photo of a skull wearing the Christmas hat. He frowned and scrolled down to the message.

Something related to your most favourite objects is awaiting you; will you come get it tonight?

Sighing, Tegoshi closed the message again and pouted his lips. He’d love to, but there was no way he’d make it. As it looked for the moment, they wouldn’t finish shooting the scenes in time today, so he’d most likely be busy until late night.

Christmas Eve was for lovers, but even so, Tegoshi wouldn’t get to spend this year’s with his.

Masuda tried so hard, and Tegoshi wished he could just go and see him.

Sighing, he put his mobile back and got back to the shooting.

Just as he had assumed, it was almost midnight as he left the studios. He bit the others a Goodbye and a Merry Christmas, and then walked out, somehow knowing he’d find an unread message, as he checked his mobile again.

This time it was a photo of Masuda with the Christmas hat, smiling brightly and flashing a peace sign.

He wanted to see him; the message read nothing but a simple I love you, and Tegoshi suddenly felt like crying.

It was cold outside and the wind was freezing, making his cheeks feel itchy, somehow. He stared at the photo and nuzzled his face into his thick and warm scarf.

He really wanted to see Masuda.

“What is that gloomy face about?”

Tegoshi lifted his head and stared into the direction the question came from.

“That’s supposed to make you smile not cry.”

Masuda smiled at him, pushed himself away from the wall he had been leaning on to walk over to Tegoshi.

“Massu…”

Masuda stopped in front of him. “You never answer any mails; really, you’re so careless.”

“I was busy”, Tegoshi excused his behaviour.

A hand came to touch his cheek. “I’ve been waiting for your answers.”

The younger one bit his lip. “I couldn’t.”

Masuda once again smiled gently. “I’m sorry for coming here.”

It remained silent between them for a while; Masuda’s hand at Tegoshi’s cheek, Tegoshi staring to the ground and slowly lifting his gaze.

Then he shook his head slightly and in the next moment his arms came around Masuda’s neck and he hugged him tight.

“I’ve wanted to see you, too.”

“That’s good”, Masuda murmured and pulled him closer. “Let me stay with you tonight.”

Tegoshi nodded quickly against Masuda’s shoulder. “Of course.”

It was much warmer when Masuda held him, and Tegoshi noticed snow began to fall and with a glimpse at his watch, he smiled.

“Massu, kiss me!” He pulled back and beamed at his lover.

Masuda gave him a confused look, but did as he was told and leaned in to kiss Tegoshi. Their lips gently moved against each others and Tegoshi let go of a happy sigh, pulled Masuda closer to not lose his warmth.

“It’s Christmas”, he murmured then against Masuda’s lips. “Merry Christmas, Massu.”

Smiling, Masuda brushed a snow flake from Tegoshi’s nose and put a gentle kiss to his lips once more. “Merry Christmas, Yuya.”

They stood like that for a little longer, grinned at each other happily, then Masuda took Tegoshi’s hand.

“Let’s go home.”

Tegoshi gripped Masuda’s hand tight and held on to his arm to keep the warmth between them.

“Let’s hurry; I’ve heard I’ll get some presents!”

Masuda just laughed. “In the morning, Yuya.”

Pouting, Tegoshi looked at him. “But I want the present the last picture showed right away, when we’ll get home.”

“I think it’s okay to give you that one a little early.”
