So far this year's March Madness has really been madness. All the games have been really close except BC's and UNC's. There have even been some HUGE upsets in the first round like VERMONT beating 2003 champion SYRACUSE and BUCKNELL beating KANSAS. Now nobody can say they have a perfect bracket. So today was the first day of classes for D term here. It went OK I guess. I like the fact that I don't have class until 10am because I am sure that will come in handy later in the term. It's kinda pathetic that SAT prep has come to this. It's a billion-plus dollar industry but I think its just gotten insane now. In an article in the Wall St. Journal, they said companies have come up with a 12-track CD putting SAT words to music. I thought Winter was almost over. I mean it t all March 9th. We got another 4 inches of snow last nite. That is nothing compared to other dumps we have gotten but this was a little weird for only 4 inches. It was practically whiteout conditions with 35-40mph winds which classifies it as a blizzard. Its obvious that the entire parking lot on the Quad would have to be blocked off to build the new admissions building there, but do they have to block off part of the actual Quad too? Who knew Springfield had a glacier? And why was it surprising to find out that its practically all melted? Haven't they heard of global melting? How were we supposed to believe that Sprawl-Mart was not a parody of Wal-Mart?

Communication is required to let others know how you feel. You can't always expect the other person to read your mind. What if the other person reads your mind wrong and are under a false assumption?
