July 4th was awesome hanging out in Boston. There were 600,000 people there. It was craziness but fun. Some artists had a living exhibit on the Boston Common and in the Public Garden. They put out giant pieces of chalk and let passers-by write what ever they wanted on the bricks. One of the craziest messages I saw was "Lesbians against Bush". That ( Read more... )

This weekend was awesome. On Saturday, we went to Suffolk Downs for the MassCap races. It was my first time seeing horse races live and it was amazing. Funny Cide, the 2003 Triple Crown threat, was the headliner for the $500,000 race. He came in 2nd in his race and the horse I bet $2 on came in 3rd. I won $3.40 on it. Yay! On Sunday, we hiked Mt. So far this summer has gotten off to a pretty bad start. I still don't have a job and it's pretty lonely here by myself. People have asked me how I spend my days knowing that I am not working so I am going to answer that. I usually wake up sometime around 12 or 1pm. Its a sad state of affairs here in the apartment. My landlord lives 2 stories above me and is friends with my apartmentmates on the first floor so he comes by pretty often. That is strange. New England can't even leave the hot dog bun alone without changing its design. I was in Price Chopper buying hot dog buns and was very confused. There were two types to choose from, New England-style and regular. WTF? I never knew there was more than one type of hot dog bun.
