Alex sat on the couch glaring down at his arm it was itching and driving him mad. He was seriously considering taking a saw to it himself and saying screw the doctors. Jen comes in from the kitchen after putting away a few dishes and feeding the animals. She's starting worry about this elephant in the room coming between them and damaging their relationship. She sits beside him, tucking her right leg under her, and looks over at him. They both know they need to start talking about it. Neither one seems motivated.

He looked over at her shifting a little so he could at least put his arm behind her on the couch,"Hey."

"Hi," she answers. She sounds as tired as she feels, but she doesn't want to call it a night yet. She wants to clear the air between them.
