Alex made his way down the halls of the hospital still not quite believing he was there. He was clean now and had gotten some food in him so there was nothing keeping him from his family. It had taken a little work to get through the nurses since he'd only been there for the birth but he was rapidly approaching his girls

Jen's laying in bed in the dark, in one of those hospital family rooms that still felt like a patient room. She's just trying to get a few hours sleep before she wanders back down to see Charlie. The last thing she wants to do is answer the door. It's probably Heather or someone and they can go away. She ignores the knocking.

He knew he had the right room but he didn't really want to just barge in. Alex knocked again,"Jen?"

Jesus Christ. Her head snaps up, "Alex?!" She wants to go sprinting to the door, but she'd bust her incision wide open and probably pass out at the same time. She throws the blankets back and moves as fast as her body will let her.

"It's me,"he could hear her moving so he shifted so he wasn't right on top of the door. Alex closed his eyes for a moment just taking in the way she said his name.
