Vegas was a blast! Danny and I got out there on Wednesday and ended up staying up over 24 hours...with my darn contacts in! Then I went to bed and was wide awake four hours later! Our week in the Smoky Mountains was all that and more. It was so relaxing and just what we needed. We went on a few hikes and one was in high altitude, uphill, and boy did I have a time with that! It's been a tough couple of weeks. My uncle died on September 23rd and my dad died on September 25. Two funerals in one week. I'm still going through a rough time and it will take a while to get over these losses. I am so use to calling my dad every single day and to not be able to do that just hurts a little bit more. Boy, what a week it has been for the Taylor family. A bad one too. My uncle Hoggie (next in line after my dad) suffered a massive heart attack yesterday and died. My dad is in Alexandria hospital and they are pretty sure that he is brain dead but they will know "for sure" tomorrow after they do more tests. Yesterday afternoon I got my Dad all checked in at Woodbine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and he was good to go. The nurses were good and attentive while I was there and before I left they told me they would check in on him a lot since his oxygen levels were up and down so I felt good about that.
